The food tastes excellent and is of very good quality. The price/performance ratio is correct. The owners are extremely friendly as well as the staff. The ambience is very cozy, you feel very comfortable. Larger family parties are also possible, as well as catering!

This guest house is managed by 2 young brothers (one chef/one hotel manager) in a facility which has been in their family for generations, but the brothers did a great job renovating/upgrading it. The rooms are spacious, simple and clean, wood flooring, comfortable, firm beds, big shower, no in-room phone, free wifi). The breakfast is good and generous, and the restaurant offers excellent, local food presently 5 evenings per week. Ample, free parking, with autobahn access within minutes (A7 and A8, Munich/Stuttgart etc.) 20 min. drive to Ulm as well as the local Legoland in Guenzburg.

Cozy country guest house and excellent restaurant near Ulm and Legoland

On the way back home from Slovenia and visiting Dachau the location of this hotel was perfect just minutes from the autobahn. Friendly staff made check-in a breeze. Unfortunately luggage has to be carried up (we were on the 2nd floor). We had a spacious room for 3 (double + sofabed). 
As there were roadworks near the hotel it was very quiet as there was no traffic. We were already up when the workers started their working day.
There was plenty to choose from at the breakfast, no need to go hungry.

Excellent travel stop

Clean and stylish interior, looked newly renovated. Very nice and service oriented staff. Delicious food and comfortable beds. Lovely breakfast included. There is nothing to complain about. Affordable!

The hotel is located in a quiet location near the motorway, offers clean, functionally furnished rooms. The restaurant served regional beer and food of very good quality. There were enough parking spaces.

Quiet location, functional and good restaurant

Since we were looking for a short-term stay, as we were going to go to Legoland the next day, we booked at the Landgasthof Zahn. We were very, very surprised by this beautiful property. Very cozy ambience. The rooms were very clean, modernly furnished. The hostel is one of my favorites. And above all price/performance was absolutely right!

Very surprised

On my birthday, I wanted to save myself the job of cooking for 10 people. When I asked if the inn was running a catering business, it was immediately accepted. We were able to pick up everything, including Rechaud, just before the dinner we had planned. Even mixed salad was in portion shells. We had onion toast, cheese slices and Viennese slices. Everything was perfectly prepared, the beef despite keeping it warm, great sauce and spices. And all this, even though Sunday was rest day and the gentlemen had their teeth free. Everyone was excited and everyone tasted it very well. Thank you again for this! We'll come back again 😁

Great catering.

On a business trip to Günzburg, I stayed at the Landgasthof Zahn. The hotel is modern and renovated. Although the single room was not particularly large, clean, nicely furnished and with a 140 cm bed very comfortable. Only the laundry was a little small, but no problem. Unfortunately, I did not use the restaurant because I arrived late and did not have to work. I got a pizza nearby. But it looked very good and was well visited. The breakfast was top. I would love to come back. Much better than the chains in Ulm!

We booked a double room for one night on our way home in The Netherlands. Check inn went very smooth, and they gave us a room on the 1st floor. The room was new and clean, but also very small and basic. The bathroom was even smaller, and didn,t even have hooks for the towels, nor some glases, nor thee/coffee/watercooker.
There,s a showergel/shapoo dispenser in the bathroom, but placed very strangly; outside the shower, so you can,t reach it while showering.
Oh, and bring your own pillows. Pillows are to support your head. These pillows have just air in them.

Wifi is free and ok!

Also we had our oom on the Hauptstrasse side, where there,s a busstop and some parkingspaces just in front of the hotel which garantees for some noise.

We had dinner in their restaurant, which was ok, although the portions could have been a little bigger for the prices they ask. 
Our waiter was a big fat guy, who told us to put our knifes over our forks. Thats the way we do things here, he said, so we know you are done eating!!!   Wow, realy, how insulting can you get

My guess is, since this is a overnight-stay-hotel for many people on their way to the south, that they have special rooms for people who just stay that one night.

Overall not a bad hotel, but there are certainly things which should improve for the convenience of their guests!
 Would we stay here again? Based on this experience, we will go somewhere else.
