It's a small hotel that's been around for years. It's a bit out of town. The hosts are very nice and try to fulfill every wish. The couple also run a farm. All the products come from their own production on the table. The food is fantastic. Price/performance too. I'm only taking points because when we were on vacation, the tablecloths weren't changed. But it was clear that they weren't changed before. The wellness area has to be booked and paid extra. I have to be honest, but there is jealousy!

It's all right.

For a hotel in a remote area, this is a find and well worth staying. Our room on 2nd floor was well presented and very comfortable. Bathroom clean and well presented. Our nights sleep was excellent with no noise. Dinner simple and the Veal Steak beautiful tasty and filling. Wine good, and the help and service from the owners makes this place special. Total for our nights stay was 130.00 euros. Beats staying in any chain group hotel and the welcome wonderful. I asked if we could make 2 bread rolls for our lunch and I did offer to pay an extra 5 euros, and was told I could for no payment, but I did add the 5 euros to my bill it was well worth it.Thank you to all at this special little place. Okay it was some 10 miles from the A3, but well worth the drive. Will look forward to our stay next year. Just to help some people, there is no lift, but the hosts would do all they could to help you if needed.
Our trip this autumn totalled 2240 miles with our stays on the trip selected to be off the main routes, we look for comfort, friendly hosts, simple but good meals, and value for money. This hotel rates all these boxes excellent.

An over night stay near the A3 close to Deggendorf

Mrs. A. is the good spirit of the house and strives to make it good for all guests. Unfortunately, we were unable to eat dinner there because of our appointments, but the other guests praised it.

Comfortable hotel in the center of the Bavarian forest

We were a group of three families, over an extended weekend in May 2018. I booked 4 rooms over telephone and one day before our journey we got a call that the quote for our rooms was wrong and we were given a higher rate.The lady gave a very lukewarm welcome and that too disappeared after we made the payment. The hotel rooms on the first floor were dingy and had an ugly smell of dirty old carpets. Our request for using the dining room/ any other area to chat after the dinner was denied. Breakfast was equally poor and we felt as if every slice of cheese/ bread was counted. Will never go there again.

Stinking rooms, rude owners

In October we went on a short vacation to the country hotel. We took advantage of a flat rate offer with breakfast and dinner (4 courses - menu). The rooms are small, conveniently furnished but clean. The hosts were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was very rich, there was nothing missing. The dinner was excellent. I would like to highlight in particular the trowel and the wheelhouse. The only point of criticism are the rooms, which have unfortunately gotten a little old. 1 point off, otherwise Prima!

Short vacation

We had booked a half board as a flat offer, the price was fine. The dinner portions were all over the place, but the taste was flawless. The rooms: small with even smaller shower, neat for what you hit every time you entered the room. Even new, freshly washed towels smoke a little used up. Dust in the rooms probably only happens once a month. The mattresses are too soft, the TV, even for such a small room. No Internet, not even for a fee.

Very quiet and staff friendly.

This is a marvellous hotel for anyone looking for a good value base in the Bavarian Wald. It has a beautiful situation and is very quiet - anyone looking for a frantic night life will be disappointed. The rooms are clean and well looked after and the bathroom looked as though it had been very recently - and effectively - renovated. The hotel offers half board - a fairly basic but more than adequate breakfast and a really delicious three course home cooked evening meal. It is at the centre of a lot of walking and cycling trails and the towns of Bodenmais and Deggendorf are a 20 minute drive away. It really is a lovely spot, the couple who run it could not be more welcoming and it is tremendouus vaue for money -  I would recommend it unreservedly.

Super holiday

A clean, well-maintained country hotel with a very friendly couple of owners, really very tasty food and nice rooms. We were in room 5 with a balcony - very wonderful. Each room has a TV and a fan. The bathroom is very small, but useful and clean. The beds were good and the view to the greenery and the silence around the hotel were very relaxing. There are also sunbeds and some tables to sit outside. The only caveat: tight dining hours (within 1-2 hours), but for that, the food is really excellent. And you can't pay with a credit card (sm EC card). Many walks in the vicinity and many flight options were very relaxing. We were here to stay in the Bay Forest, but maybe we'd like to stay in the country park again.
