It was a lovely hotel perfect for families with kids.  We went all inclusive food was ok but give the steak restaurant a miss. Rooms were spacious and outside space a plus as we came with an autistic daughter who struggled to leave the room. Was nice but wouldn’t go back as it was definitely geared more around kids. Watch for the air con press the red button.

My husband was working in Germany for two months.  My adult daughter and I joined him for three weeks and this apartment/hotel worked out perfect.  An extra bed was set up in the spacious living room area and a bathroom separated the bedroom from the living room and kitchen.  Each room had doors which is a big plus to give people "space".  I could use the kitchen in the middle of the night without bothering anyone sleeping in the living room or bedroom!
An adjoining hotel has free washers and dryers which look new and work well in a well-equipped laundry room. Next to the laundry rooms - 2 on each floor - there is a nearby lounge with a tv, computers, a sofa, desk, bathroom.  Very pleasant.
The kitchen is adequate.  Enough dishes etc.  I bought a cutting board, nothing else.  The cookware seemed to be of a good quality and I appreciated it being stainless steel. 
The housekeepers suck.  I would rather just do it myself.
The Internet service is lacking but it is free.  You can pay to upgrade the service.
I liked the neighborhood.  Easy walk to many small restaurants - Asian, Turkish, German - and all sorts of small shops and a fantastic bakery.  2 minute walk to a bus stop where for 2 euro you can go to the train station.

Good for us

The Elbresidenz is a part of the Holiday Inn complex near the Elbbrücken (Elbbridges). The hotel and the Elbresidenz is very nice with a friendly, helpful and effective staff. Clean with nice restaurants and a pool/spa-area.

But the hotel is not well placed if you are in Hamburg for sigtseeing. You cannot walk to the city centre (Altstadt). And the neighborhood is rather run-down. And what is really strange is the fact that the hotels wi-fi apparently only is connected to the web part of the time....that is truly annoying.....

Nice hotel outside the rest of the world

I'm not going to come back either, because I accidentally landed in my own hotel at the Elb Residence because of the overbooking, the only advantage is that it's a big room, but it was, because otherwise there was -- muffled air -- dirty carpeting -- no painting on the wall, only the nails were still there -- fully occupied furniture -- broken-down shower shed -- completely recessed bed -- far too thin towels -- design of the '80s --...

Once and never again

The apartment have no fridge unless you pay extra 20 Euros a day for the use of kitchen.The electric kettle did not work and was changed after 5 reminders! This is my first rented apartment by me, where it cost me 20 Euros for the use of the fridge!!!!!!

Be aware of extra charges for use of kitchen

The apartment for our two-day trip to Hamburg was quite ok unfortunately it always smelled muffed and also a little smoky although it was a non-smoking room no matter how much you had ventilated. The breakfast was against the reviews here although good but the staff was just unfriendly and the biggest joke was that half of the restaurant was covered for breakfast although the waiters took care that no one sat there although all the other tables were full. We were forced to sit down to a wild stranger couple at the table just because the waiters had to keep the next room free.

Not a good hotel but big rooms and enough for two nights

Convenient location, bus access to the train station and shopping streets Jungfernstieg and Mönckebergstraße is a maximum of 10 minutes, bus stop is within 4-5 minutes walking distance. Apartments have spacious bedrooms, living room, corridor and bathroom. Kitchen is small, but enough. Quiet and quiet area is very comfortable for children.

Apartments in Hamburg

Apartment number 71 is on the ground floor, in the bedroom you feel like it's a basement room is also quite small. Water stain on the ceiling in the living room, unfortunately there was no water cook available, which was in the kitchen which was closed, we were told we could book the kitchen for 20€ a day then we would have a water cook. Or for 18€ per person + breakfast a day. Yes, no, no, it's clear.

No, it doesn't have to be.

Large rooms, clean rooms, quiet location down the cul-de-sac, good breakfast at the Holiday Inn, good service, friendly staff, good connectivity to the open, the only drawback of a large hotel is that there's no back tick in the dining room and the hotel, free drinks on the first day.

Good hotel for a city tour

Enjoyed the stay here, price was good kitchen is available at an extra charge, gym is only cardio section and pool is relatively small ( popular with family's) food at the in hotel bar is good and staff are very friendly
