The restaurant in the centre of Ohlstedt at the train station has a very good kitchen. Vienna's Schnitzel is great. The elderly gentleman is extremely friendly in serving and you feel welcome. The location is simple but convenient. The prices are ok. A typical family dinner restaurant. Can you recommend

Well civilized

The staff is very friendly, the food is very civic. Parts of the restaurant are in dire need of renovation. Unfortunately, we were sitting on the left of the entrance. The walls are in very poor condition, but you keep looking at them when you eat. However, a pleasant atmosphere is as important as the food itself. It is essential to book a seat in the winter garden.

The country house is in the process of giving some rooms a new touch, unfortunately it was very bright in the morning in the room, the curtains were a joke, it was somewhat cloudy, otherwise you would be awakened by the sun, the breakfast was ok, the prices in the restaurant are according to the food

Very quietly

Whether for a large meal (lunch or dinner) or just for coffee, the country house serves you with kindness and delivers good food.

Hostel in a quiet location

The Ohlstedt country house is located right next to the U1 station and is therefore easily accessible. We had dinner there with the family and the food and service are good. Not spectacular, but good. The breakfast is manageable by the offer, and when we had sausage and cheese, it would have been a little quicker. Average. The room, however, was long overdue for renovation. Although the windows were apparently new, the rest were no longer ok. The closet is old with more broken handle, not long wiped and an old fireplace. The bathroom is very small and much improved. We would probably go to the carpet again for dinner.

The food's good, the room could use a renovation.

Once again, we were four of us at the Ohlstedt Country House to eat goose with friends. This is what the host does every year around Christmas time: a whole goose with buns, croquettes, raisins and red cabbage, and a bottle of red wine, this year for 115 euros for four people. The country house has a pleasant, inviting and cozy ambience. Despite the crowded room, we had a table in the actual gas chamber, because it's the most cozy place. The goose was shown to us before serving it all, it looked very charming. After trinking we served on the plate of comparable pieces.

A lovely Christmas Eve

Excellent location (well served by the U1 and next to the station), a good selection of local food, atmosphere, good walks (perfect for dogs), near to the Duvenstedter Brook nature reserve, runs in the forest and friendly staff (if a bit quiet). :)

Perfect for a visit to Hamburg

We apreciated the very big room, where 2 baby beds could be set without taking to much space. Bathroom was small, and there is a big step to enter the shower. There is no lift to the first floor. Breakfast was good as well.

Very comfortable

Spent a week at the Landhaus (my second visit in 2 years). Very friendly personal service, excellent cuisine of North German specialities including weekly seasonal specials.

Rooms quiet and comfortable and incredibly good value for money. Good Wifi connection.

Location is on the edge of the city in a relaxing village style area right next to Ohlstedt U-Bahn station on the U1 line.

I will definitely be staying here again next time I visit hamburg.
