The kitchen is average. The salad for the dishes had to be paid extra. This one was also very unpleasant and simple to make. Otherwise the food was good. The ambience is well maintained, but without love of detail.

Simple but good

I have stayed here in June for 3 nights with my husband and again in October for 7 nights with  my mother whilst we visited my aunt. Very helpful friendly staff, excellent meals and very clean comfortable bed and bathroom.  It is in the beautiful historic walking old town among half timbered houses. It is only a 5 minute walk to the main bus station and 15 minute walk to the hospital past beautiful historic stone wall and gardens.  It is a short 20 minute bus trip to Sababurg animal park and castle and Urwald forest walks, and we did a wonderful bus trip to Trendelburg Castle which I would highly recommend.  A great way to see a non tourist German town with beautiful scenery.  a good street of shops too

a restaurant and small hotel typical German, nice food, you can take home the rest ... it is just tooo much! But very good , also fresh german cakes!!!
The ambiente seems a bit old fashioned, could be better, very friendly staff.

It's in the middle of the courtyard. Everything is within walking distance. Very nice service. Breakfast was a lot of choice. There's also an elevator on the floors. Everything is very convincing. I'm happy to come back.

Good night, even with breakfast!

The hotel has everything you need if you're only there to sleep. The room was big enough, the mattresses weren't too soft, but the showers were unfavorable. If you weren't careful, you could change them when you showered. The WiFi was enough to surf for more, but you had to be lucky, which is generally a problem in courtroom fantasy. The mobile network is good again. The breakfast was good.

5 days of seminar in Hofgeismar

Located right on the market square, the hotel has functionally flawless and clean rooms. You can park in the immediate vicinity. If breakfast were a little better, I would have given it 4 stars in the price-performance ratio.

Simple hotel in a central location

We were at the wine festival this weekend, great towns, beautiful crafts houses and a very recommended hotel. All tip-top clean, thoughtful and attentive nice team. The boss fulfills every wish and is totally sweet. We ate with 4 people there and everything was super delicious. The snitches and rumsteaks were perfect. For the season we even offered dishes with pfifferlings. We will definitely be back next year and look forward to it. Many greetings to the whole team. Continue so:-)

Just great and beautiful.

Passed through Hofgeismar to see some friends again last week.  I had a great stay at the Brauhaus.  The room was large and clean with a nice view of the shopping district.  The hotel had a great location in the center of town.  Breakfast was excellent and the food from the restaurant super.  I would highly recommend to anyone needing a place to stay in the area.


Visit

At the centre of the charming old town lies this traditional German inn. While enjoying our tasty and plentiful breakfast, we could look out onto the romantic half-timbered houses of the pedestrian precinct. The rooms are big enough for a short stay, bathrooms clean with excellent power showers, plenty of hot water and basic toiletries. My bed was comfortable, though my colleague did not find her mattress  quite so welcoming. The rooms are quiet, though the restaurant and function rooms are busy. The menu is traditional, the portions are large and the quality of the cooking high. To be recommended are the schnitzels and the speciality, cubed meat in aspic. I got to throw dice to decide whether I had to pay for this - a tradition in the restaurant. I lost, but so what! The prices are so reasonable here, I will certainly come again.

Delightful, traditional hospitality at the heart of the old town.

I stayed at this hotel for two days, with my family. We booked here because it's along the way of the fairy tales of the Grimm brothers. A very nice, clean and decorative hotel. The kitchen is great, with great dishes.
