Very nice hotel in the Bavarian forest. From here you can take nice tours. Everything is very clean. The rooms are at least eleven fashionable but functional and equipped with everything the heart desires. Very nice breakfast. Super nice staff. Price-performance top.

Mega clean mega friendly

On the way to the holiday we spent one night at the country inn Fischer Veri, because I know this piece of the Bavarian forest very well. Straubing is very close to reach and it is always worth checking out.

I can only recommend quietly and a very nice beer garden where the sage beer tastes good

A short trip to the Bavarian forest with a stay in this small but fine boarding house. We felt very comfortable right away. Rustic in a positive sense. With TV and Wi-Fi. Very friendly people and very delicious food. Unfortunately vile too short. We'll be back!

Kind and friendly

Nice hostel with clean rooms, very friendly staff and great food at very moderate prices. We were sitting in the idyllic beer garden and it was just wonderful. The Fischer hostel still stands for what I understand as Bavarian hospitality!!!

We spent 1 nicht in Fischer Veri Gasthof. Frau Fischer was lovely, food is great in the Restaurant. Breakfast was hearthy and with good variety of dishes. 
Rooms are partly renovated, but very clean and comfortable.


Lovely family Gasthof

We visited this lovely hotel as a night stop over on our way to Hungary..The room was clean,comfortable.Rooms has a balcony but it shared with other rooms and the evening kids were quite noisy.Breakfast was basic but enough to set you off on your journey.At check out we have told that they only accept EC or Maestro card,what clearly only Germans had...No Visa/Master or Amex.We needed to go to a cash point to get some cash out.

Nice hotel,but be aware of NO credit card payment

Inexpensive hotel on the main road to the Ortsmitte (middle of town), which in this case is no big thing since traffic is light and the Ortsmitte is basically the end of the road. Room was decent sized, bath with some toiletries, towels we're actually fairly good. Shower had a door, so no billowing curtain. Plenty of hot water. Bathroom was a bit dark with the light bulb wattage provided.

Beds were comfortable with very fluffy feather comforters. Small flat screen on the wall. No bed room mirror for putting on makeup while bathroom is occupied.

Breakfast buffet of hard boiled eggs, buns, breads, jams, cold cuts and cheeses, juice and coffee.

The evening meal at the in-house restaurant was good and inexpensive.

Relatively good WiFi in the rooms !!!

Friendly owners/staff, not sure if anyone speaks English.

Visit Sankt Englmar, only a few miles away, there's a rodelbahn and several other activities for the young at heart (my top speed was 38 mph) near the WaldWipelWeg attraction (turn left when heading back to Sankt Englmar from the Wipel Weg).

End of the Road

After traveling about 700 kilometers on a motorcycle about four years ago - dirty, wet and frozen on room searches - we stumbled upon this country inn by chance. We were received as kindly as ever before. As it is written: we are on the motorcycle there are free rooms sometimes suddenly booked out! From then on Fischer Veri was always our intermediate destination on our annual motorcycle tour to Croatia. But because in this country inn everything is true: beautiful rooms, good food (own butchery) delicious beer and very importantly the chemistry with the contents is true, - this year the decision was made: to book for a week and daily motorcycle trips through the bays. What was I supposed to write for the next year's tour?

Once a fisherman, always a fisherman

The hostel is located in Mitterfels in the Burgstrasse and is easy to find. (Sackgasse).Straubing is only a few kilometres away, as is the Regensburg-Passau motorway.For a stop overnight or for short stays a very affordable accommodation. We had a large room (7) with a seating area and balcony. The rooms are clean and tidy. The hostel is homey and reflects the village character. Simple dishes are offered for dinner.

My wife and I stayed one night here recently after visiting Regensburg and Straubing. It is somewhat outside of Straubing. Although the postal address is Hunersdorf, it is actually in Mitterfels. It is probably helpful to use a GPS device to locate the hotel.

We  agree with the previous comments made and would add that we ate here at night and found it to be good value for money.
