Neufahrn in Niederbayern

Goods from Düsseldorf on holiday in new cars and have chosen the Hotel Ramsauer. In the hotel every noise is noticeable, the floor makes strange noises of its own and in general the hotel is very low budget. Breakfast is okay, but nothing more. Room service is good and the location is okay No recommendation and price performance is also not adequate

Never again! I have never stayed in such a noisy and unkindly decorated room. The room smelled of mold and airlessness! What is rented at all is a disgrace! You have the feeling that the car and train are moving in turns through the room. Because at temperatures above 20 degrees, you have to open the window at night, not to think about sleeping.

Never again!

On the way back, we booked as an intermediate stop. Key service by box at the entrance worked superbly. The rooms are clean and furnished appropriately. The only thing left to worry about was that Double Room No. 101 was right on the stairs and all the guests felt walking through the room, which is quite annoying, especially in the morning. Our fellow passenger had a room in the back and was satisfied all around. The breakfast was sufficient and delicious and the service was always effortless and asked repeatedly if everything was okay. Then everything else could be taken.

Recommendation if you...

On our way from The Netherlands to Austria we stopped over again at Gasthof Ramsauer in Neufahrn because we have been there already many times and it has always been a pleasant stay. We experienced again a warm welcome by the very friendly owners. The restaurant serves tasty dishes for very reasonable prices and a good breakfast. The room was again very clean and quiet. Free Wifi is available in the room.

Very good stopover place in the South of Germany

Stayed here for one night, so that we could transit into the Gaubodenvolksfest in nearby Straubing. The hotel was easy to find, with a sizeable car park and easy walk along the main road to a handful of shops and pharmacies. It is also immediately opposite the village train station which makes travel into Straubing (itself a lovely place) easy. 

The room was large, clean and comfortable and breakfast in the morning was lovely. There were a few language barriers as the couple who run the hotel have limited English however this reflects worse on us for having even more limited German! That said, they were happy to help and very friendly so managed to get by without any real problems. On needing some specific advice, they asked a younger man (their son?) to help who had fluent English. 

I would certainly recommend this Gasthof for anyone wanting a base in a quiet location but with great transport links to other parts of Bavaria and especially Straubing.

Excellent Stopover in Sleepy Bavaria

My room was not very large, but it was clean and tidy, and the back was very quiet, and the hosts were very nice and polite, and at breakfast they asked me several times if everything was okay or if I could get something to eat.

A random hit I'll use more often

I find it really sour, you book a room weeks in advance, then you arrive, tired after 10 hours of work and 6 hours of travel... you have to work 12 hours more at the fair, then you are told that the room must be cleared up at 9:00 because it's already been rented to others around the time. I went to the fair, came to the hotel at 00.30, the room is ice cold, the view of an unattended garden... no shower in the shower... and then you can sleep just 7 hours!! I cleared the room at half-niner and went to breakfast.

Unfriendly and Really Overpriced

We met with my cousin in the evening. We didn't want to eat at the castle hotel, so we got into the Ramsauer. Ordinary card with good selection, ordered and very well eaten. Price/performance very well! Half a beer for 2.50€, where's that still! Class!!! Also very decent wine card with very reasonable prices. Come back!

Spontaneously coming in, eating very well, coming back...

On our way by car from the Netherlands to Austria we have again ( we do not recall how many times we have stayed here before) stayed overnight in Gasthof Ramsauer. The double bedroom was again perfectly clean and although we arrived late ( 21.00 hr) we could enjoy a good diner. The breakfast provided a good selection/variety of food. We recommend this Gasthof for its friendly people, very good service, very good food and reasonable prices. Good value for money! Because we have used this Gasthof only for overnight stays, we do not know the surrounding area. We would suggest to look into tourist information of South Bavaria.
