Dont ever ever visit or book a room at Rickelsbüller Hof!!!!!
We came at 18.30. A teenager with the mouth full of food was in the reception/bar with the chef. Dirty as hell, and with spiders and hair from dogs all over the place. Disgusting! They did not have a book or computer or anything with reservations. There was a lot talking around us arriving. It took half an hour with them discussing in the kitchen and We could hear, that they had no room. They could not give us any kind of verification if We could stay or not. Finally the chef came out saying he was Sorry and he was only the chef, but the boss was out, but they would find a room for us within an hour!....After 1,5 hour We ended up saying that we wanted our money back and left.  They Said that the owner would call the day After, she did not. The whole Thing was so corrupt, dirty...and a 16 year Old boy to take Care of it all. Afterwards We drove and ate dinner at a restaurant near by, and the owner  told us, that he has experienced it over and over again... that they do this. Overbook, they dont have a room, and that People leave because it is as dirty as a pigsty. Dont ever book or visit this place!
It is obviously business, people book, they dont have a room, and charge you anyway!
(This is my/our worst hotel experience ever and I stay in hotels 50 nights a year, related to work, I have tried a lot)

A Nightmare!

If you visit Renata Arcamone and her family, you can be sure that you will be happy and satisfied to leave the place again. The dishes are good and full of very tasty food, there is a large selection of meat dishes, but vegetarians and fish eaters also come at their expense.

Good food and plenty of portions!

After we had booked two double rooms by phone a few weeks before our trip, and the booking was confirmed several times over the phone, we wanted to get a confirmation by mail. Since the mail was still not there until two days before our trip, we checked the phone again (we had to call three times and were contacted for the first time) and were told that they had been overbooked by a travel agent tonight and there was nothing to do about it.

Get your fingers out of these amateurs!

When we arrived, we were not even greeted, not once good day or warm welcome. We did not receive any information at breakfast or on the Internet reception or anything like that. There was no (not important) welcome drink described. Large blocks on the property and other disorders. The rooms were not as comfortable as described but uncomfortable.

Unfriendly reception

The owner is very hardworking, seems tireless at work. Both the breakfast offer and the restaurant offer are not a cause for criticism. My single room, however, was very small. Going into the shower, without deposit, requires some mobility. But it cannot be changed due to the construction.

First visit, but very warm welcome

We've been to the restaurant three times, and we've picked a variety of dishes, and here's the price-performance ratio, and they were delicious and well-prepared, and the rumpsteak in particular was excellent, and the service was great.

Good restaurant with small sections

We looked for a place to stay during a trip to Germany for border trading and we wanted to make a trip out of it instead of only driving back and forth the same day. Luckily we chose this hotel where the service har been extremely good  and the food tasted very good. I can only recommend this place. 

Very friendly stay and unbelievely big schnitzlen for dinner

We visited Rickelsbüller Hof by chance, searching for a place to have a meal, while on our way to the famous Nolde museum near the Danish border. The restaurant also a hotel (I wish we knew earlier!) is managed by a fantastic international team, with a well-travelled local lady, a wonderful Polish one and an Italian chef.  The combination produced a perfect meal that we had no chance to finish so rich. But the real treat was the amazing hospitality, the relaxed mood, the true kindness so hard to find these days. We were recommended by them to visit the island of Römö in Denmark that we followed and spent an amazing afternoon on the sunny beach.  If you happen to drive around this land do not miss the Rickelsbüller Hof and enjoy their warm welcome- we will definitely return! Thank you so much!

A wonderful gem of food, nature and friendliness

Very friendly start from the hostess, a welcome drink, then to our family room  Lamb's Steel  super bright, refurbished, super nice.

A visit to the Rodeo!

We had the pleasure of taking a break in Rodenäs in the north of Germany on New Year's Eve. A very quiet spot, however, with the possibility of making many excursions. Especially with children and especially in this hotel with a dog. The owner runs the hotel very personally and is open to any questions, help and information. The very nicely furnished holiday apartment leaves no wishes open. The breakfast is lovingly prepared and on request possible. We also ate three nights on the spot. Highly recommended. It is in constant use with a lot of heart blood. Other rooms are yet to be renovated.
