Very central location. From the airport bus stop "Plateia Aristotelous" on Egnatia street next to the Bey Hamam it's just a 400 metre walk ever so slightly uphill that's easily navigable with a wheeled suitcase. Some of the upper-floor rooms have views of the Roman Agora archaeological site. 

We had a wonderful stay here. We first were on the upper floor but since there is no lift this became a bit burdensome. But the staff couldn't have been more helpful in finding us a different room for the rest of our stay and even carried our suitcases up and down the stairs for us. Even though the room was overlooking a cocktail bar we didn't have any major noise issues. 

All the staff members we interacted with were always helpful with smiles on their faces, providing us with great information and insight, and finally arranging for a taxi to the airport. 

Top tip: when you exit the hotel, turn right and walk uphill on that little street. At the top, turn right again and you'll find bakery Sarantis that sells excellent tiropitas and baklavas, perfect for breakfast.

Perfect city centre hotel - how come we can't have more of these?

So yes, it's basic and yes, it's dated, and yes, it's a bit shabby. But all that adds to its charm. What I actually loved:

- This was a last minute booking from a day before and managed to get a room which was cool
- The reception staff were superb (thanks Giannis, and the other Giannis and Dionysus). All absolutely helpful, and also very attentive and thoughtful. Was also great chatting to them in Greek (I'm British and of Asian descent and it was reassuring to know I still have my Ellinika game hehe)
- Location was ace. Right in the middle of Thessaloniki action. You can't go wrong. It's v close to the main Egnatia strip  where most of the stuff happens.

Superb staff (Giannis, Giannis and Dionysus) and location means a winner

I stayed in August 2021, slight delay in the review.

Basic accommodation, a little dated but an extremely good value hotel; was very clean, aircon worked well and there was always hot water.  They were communicative prior to my stay and also arranged a transfer from the airport.  Reception gave great restaurant recommendations and assisted with planning/booking boat trips and a bus journey to Halkidiki, also assisted in calling taxis and ensuring I knew the price of the journey before getting in the car.  

There is fruit shop across the road with friendly locals and lovely produce (could purchase and store in refrigerator in room).  There is also a bakery around the corner for savoury and sweet snacks (sandwiches, pastries, cakes and ice cream) - all delicious - also purchased my take away coffee from there for my early morning walks.

The location of the hotel was great for me as I walked to most places of interest, it felt safe during both the day and night (take the obvious precautions).  As a solo traveller I was located the room near reception which was a little noisy at times but absolutely adequate for my short getaway. They were also easily able to extend my stay by an additional night after a last minute travel itinerary change, this was very much appreciated.

I loved the city and would certainly stay again for ease despite there being an array of more glitzy hotel options in the City.

Basic, dated but clean accommodation with helpful reception and in a good location.

The hotel is located on the center of the city. There is no breakfast but coffee and tea all day for free. It is almost 10 minutes walk to Ataturk Museum, in fact the hotel is very closr to every place you shall visit. The receptionists are very kind friendly. I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect Location & Hospitality

Friendly and welcoming staff, quiet clean rooms, and good value. It's ideally situated near the centre of town. This is the second time I've stayed there, and I will definitely use it again when visiting Thessaloniki. We have already recommended it to colleagues.

Travelling with friends

This hotel is most recommended. It is centrally located.  The service is very good.
We have been there for two nights.  The first night with a room in the back and the second night with a room in the front. The back is very quiet while the front might be a bit noisy.  You can hear the street noise although they have a double glazed windows.

If you look for a good hotel

I stayed at this hotel for one night December 17, 2022.  Very quaint hotel, small lobby area. My room had a queen size bed that was comfortable. The top cover did have an odor to it so not sure how often they wash it, but it was not a pleasant smell, not a large bathroom that did not have enough shelving to put your bath supplies but worked for the one night that I needed.  The hotel has no elevator, so be aware if you have large size luggage. The lobby guy was kind enough to bring my luggage up to my room as I have a disability. The lobby did have a main computer that you could use. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful.  They will call a cab if you need one. Very nice stay.

Staff was very friendly, everything clean and nice; rooms comfortable and the best location near to Roman market. I enjoyed my stay a lot and I thank very much all who work there. I would suggest it to everyone.

A very pleasant place to stay in Thessaloniki

very convenient location, walking distance from everything in the center..
The staf is very kind and helpful, doing their best for every need.
We arrived with a rented car and the recepstion guy offerd to leave us his parking as he was leaving (in an area where parking is really difficult)
There's no breakfast, but a small room where free tea or coffe are available. Based on the staff advice we bought pastries in a close bakery, then had our breakfast with coffee in that room.
Rooms are not large, but ok and clean.
