Recently the four of us had lunch here and this was a pleasant experience.

The hotel is a nice find in the middle of a Park/forest. It looks modern from the outside and the location is beautiful. We were welcomed by friendly members of staff. The restaurant area is a bit old fashioned and less welcoming than the hotel itself, but we were seated outside on their terrace.

From the menu we chose a meat and game platter, each for two people. Especially the game platter was nicely presented and the meat quality was excellent. The only comment I have to make is that some pieces of game were overcooked and therefore dry, but for the rest thumbs up. 

Nice place, good food and friendly people at this beautiful spot.

Beautiful location with good food

I bought a coupon on szallasguru.hu with a package of hotel+ ticket to the observatorium during the summer and we visited the place in July this year. The order was a bit problematic because of the coupon, it was hard to see the available dates, but we managed to find a weekend.
The hotel is a hunting hotel and you can find antlers all around the halls. There is an additional safe for the guns I think in every room. The staff is very nice, the buffet in the mornings and evening is very wide, you can also find meatless versions. I still remember the sausages that came from somewhere in the neighborhood, but I think the the butter or also from near.
The observatory is about 10 minutes by walk, try also the viewpoint next to it, the view is amazing in clear weather! We reserved in advance tickets to the night sky presentation, it was really worth it, those guys are amazing!
The pool is not the biggest and there is only 2 sauna that sometimes was on, sometimes off, but this place is not for wellness, but hiking around the forest. The wifi is also not the best, sometimes we didn't have it in the room. You can ask the reception to show the hiking routes near. I do recommend this place to have silent nights in the middle of the forest for people wo are overwhelmed from the noise of the city.

Calm hotel in the middle of the forest

It was the second time we were here (last was in last november) . I love this place. Rooms are fine, the staff is super friendly, foods are delicious and most of all, the surroundings are breathtaking. Perfect place for relaxing and run away from the stressful life. The Observatory is not so far, and booking in advance is advised. The sky is so clear and beautiful, I've never seen this clear sky before. I am quite sure we will come back again.

Perfect calm and silence in the middle of the forrest - Wonderful

The location of the hotel, far from the streets, in the middle of the forest, is unusually friendly. However, in winter nights you can hear the sound of the solid fuel heater and heat pump. The small restaurant earns no three points by German standards, closes at 9 p.m. But you put a lot of effort into the service. On the room you will find no fan and a flat screen with loud foreign languages.

The staff...

We went to spend four days in this place. Quiet and especially interesting for those who like hiking in the forest and/or hunting. Clean hotel with small swimming pool, hot tub and saunas. During the time we were there, we were able to enjoy these advantages quietly. The rooms are comfortable but the bedding is a little too hard. The cleaning of the rooms is not done unless on demand. We had breakfast and dinner. We were not satisfied with the service as much as with meals. As for the service, apart from a young woman who was very friendly to breakfast and spoke English or even a little French, the other professional waiters were not good outside the hotel. As for the meals, it was not a quiet hotel, and unfortunately, there is no lack of restaurant in this part of the country.

In the Forest

It's all in the title. Ideally located in the heart of a very lush forest. Careful staff for service, day and night: for early waking up at 4am, espresso is served with a smile! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Extensive shower. Attention, this is not the great luxury but it's not what I was looking for. Good and diverse cuisine.

Hotel is perfectly located in the middle of a forest. Nice place to relax and to bike. Staff is excellent, service is great. Room was nice and comfy. Food was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful at the restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Perfect location - nice service

After a lovely visit to the observatory we called at the hotel for lunch. This hotel is surrounded by forest with lovely walks.The restaurant is open from 12.00 - 21.00  They have a daily menu and a choice from the al a carte,which you can mix and match. Because there was nothing on the kids menu they chose from the other menu and halted it. We had venison stew with gnocchi,honey pork knuckle,turkey with fruits of the forest and prawn & cream tagliatelle. All was delicious and the cost was good, however wine by the glass is expensive

Perfect, quiet, green place

This stay was one of the best in our lives. If you want to stay in a quiet and calm place with the possibility to wander in the forest, take the bike and visit animal farms, this is the hotel for you. We stayed for 2 nights for a long weekend, and we had half-board, which was a great decision, as the food was excellent. We had delicious breakfasts and romantic dinners in the restaurant of the hotel. You can rent bikes at the reception. If you go by car, visit the Deer Farm at Bőszénfa, where you can pet deer and see several types of wild and domestic animals living on a farm.
