Beautiful property, but weird experience. We stayed here one night. The receptionist looked at us like we had three heads apiece when we asked a few questions at check-in (which are not odd questions to ask about at a hotel, like asking about the card on file, the elevator, etc.) We stopped in the bar/lounge area for a drink and it was a very pretty setup. However, I ordered a glass of wine and the bartender poured something completely different because of his personal preference - only asking after pouring if that was OK. Just a lot of very odd interactions in a short span of time. The room itself was very spacious and well-kept.

Odd interactions, nice property

On arrival we were met by a very nice receptionist. She explained everything to all 8 of us. We checked in and went to our rooms. The rooms were superb. Sparkling clean. Bathroom clean and facility for making tea or coffee. You had an iron if you wanted to use it. All in all the room was perfect. We then went down to the bar where we had a few drinks. The bar man was very attentive and looked after all our needs. We then had a meal which was served promptly and was very very nice indeed. We retired later as some of us had to drive back up the country the next morning. We had a superb breakfast where you helped yourself to cereal, orange juice, fruit juice, fruit, etc.  The waitresses then took the order for whatever breakfast you preferred (fry scrambled egg etc). They checked on a few occasions to see had we everything we wanted. All in all and agreed by everybody it was excellent from start to finish. They will be returning.

We stayed here as part of a family wedding celebration and what can I say?

What a wonderful place to stay and what a fantastic wedding venue.

The food at the wedding reception and again this morning at breakfast was so yummy.

One of the highlights for me was the exceptional customer service shown by Susan, a lovely lady who greeted us when we first arrived.

Breakfast was really good. There was a buffet style for continental and your cooked foods were made to order. Really nice rooms. Every staff member I met were really pleasant and welcoming. Susan on the front desk was so obliging from booking over the phone to check out. Great experience

Great short stay

This hotel has a renovated area which is where I stayed. The hotel is quite far from city center. It is situated in a wooded area. The room and bathroom are very large. The bathroom has a rainfall showerhead and a barrier-free shower. There are 2 restaurants on the premises. The main restaurant offers delicious vegan dishes.

Hotel in the woods

Had an extended family lunch in this wonderful hotel on 1st October. Food was delicious & service was exceptional. I could not fault this hotel from time of booking through to day itself. Outstanding in every aspect

Sunday lunch in Vienna Woods hotel

Lovely room and great service. I know others have said this venue is too far from Cork city but this didn’t worry me.  I ate there (pizzas) and they were good!  Lovely breakfast too. Gorgeous furnishings everywhere. There was a wedding on but noice didn’t worry me .

Beautiful hotel and furnishings

The hotel is very beautiful both outside and inside. The lobby and the rooms are very well decorated. The dinner we had in the evening was also very good, refined cuisine but... our night was ruined by two things: we had a very cold room and nothing to adjust the temperature. A cold air was blowing and especially no hot water. Obviously after a day in the rain, a warm shower would have been welcome.

Mixed up.

Stayed for one night after dropping our daughter to college in Cork and to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday. Struggled to book anywhere on the necessary dates and did not have high hopes as the price was very reasonable for a Friday night. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by attentive and jovial staff at reception, later on in the restaurant where we had a lovely meal and the following morning at breakfast (Loved the Bulgarian stew story!!!). They all went above and beyond. We were concerned about possible noise from a wedding celebration, but didn't hear a thing and had a wonderfully comfortable, quiet nights sleep in a beautifully appointed room. Thank you to all the staff, everything was perfect and we will be back.

Lovely 60th Birthday stay.

I stayed here for one night and we managed to find it easily. Beware there is a very sharp turn to get up the hilly entrance to the hotel. The parking was also a bit tight. Check in was super fast and the receptionist was very friendly. Our room (105 I think!) was quirky. As soon as we entered the room we had a bed and round the corner was a desk & wardrobe. Further around the corner was the bathroom. It had a bath with shower above it & nice blue lighting around the mirror. The shower was a big poor, it kept going cold and the pressure wasn’t great. There were some small toiletries available.

The room was hot due to the heat wave, but we could t keep the windows open due to the noise. The room was obviously near the kitchen and all we could hear was plates banging. There was no fan and just some tap water in a glass bottle in the room. We didn’t have a kettle or tea/coffee. The tv on the wall was very tiny and it was difficult to see from the bed. 

Breakfast was a buffet with cold meats, cheese, fruit, breads, pastries & yoghurts. Cooked foods were ordered from the table. We were shown to our table and then just left! The same as many other people. We had to ask where the buffet was and also how to order food. Then for the next 10 minutes we had about 4 different people ask if we’d ordered food! Nobody seemed to know what they were doing! It was a very stressful experience and not enjoyable at all. The food was okay, although some vegetarian sausages would have been better than just beans, egg, hash browns and mushroom. 

Overall we loved this hotel, with its quirky interior mixed with the old house. The place as immaculately clean & the room was lovely. But the service at breakfast was awful! I would definitely stay here again though.
