This was simply the best B&B I have stayed in for years. It is in a lovely setting less than 10 mins drive from Waterford city centre. Clean, fresh and very welcoming. There were so many considerate touches to make life on the road easy...access to a fridge, microwave and kettle. Tea and coffee. Shared tv lounge. Water cooler and refillable glass water bottles for your room. The breakfasts were delicious.. beginning with all the usual buffet juices, cereals, berries. Really nice coffee, little fresh scones. Then a lovely hot breakfast menu..really tasty and varied. The Full Irish worked for the entire day! Susan and Des were very helpful and considerate hosts. Very highly recommended! 

A Big YES!

This was the best decision my fiancé and I made while in Waterford. We’ve been to the county many times, but after staying here, we are making it a point to stay again. We came in for a night prior to a wedding, and it was the first time my fiancé and myself had a continuous deep sleep in ages (The bed was almost too comfortable. Im saying a 15 minute cat nap will be a dream-filled adventure.)

 The rooms were clean, Des and Susan were more than welcoming, and the breakfast was the ultimate experience. Best scones I have ever had, and the view in the morning is the best in the county. 

I have travelled the globe and stayed in various tiers of accommodations, and this was the perfect blend of “staying” and “living.”

Complete Serenity 

What a lovely Bed and Breakfast with genuine hosts and very high standards. Comfortable Bed, decent shower and fab breakfast. What more could you ask for. We stayed for a wedding at the nearby Faithlegg Hotel so our stay was short. Highly recommend.

B&B with very high standards

Grounds were beautiful and amazing views. Quiet. Breakfast was good. Room was comfortable. Susan is energetic but didn’t necessarily listen to my questions before answering. Closest pub was 1/2 mile. No sidewalks so could be dangerous to walk which left me only drinking non alcoholic beer. Which was fine by me.

Would return

The good:
—The location was good, but a bit out of the way to walk into town,
—Room was spacious and quiet, and
—Beautiful  backdrop and views of the surrounding area

The bad:
—Susan, the host, was abrupt, slightly abrasive, and not very personable,
—carpeting in the room was very stained and dirty,
—mold issues in walk-in shower, and
—basic Irish breakfast was mediocre with small portions and no offers for water or coffee refills.

During our trip to Ireland, we stayed at 12 B&B’s and this accommodation was easily at the bottom of our list.

It’s the host that matters

If only we had longer than one night to stay at Samuel’s Heritage BnB. Such a spacious room we could happily stay a week. Has the best sleep of our holiday in the wonderful bed. Excellent breakfast this morning too. Highly recommend 

Spacious room, great bed and breakie

Myself and my son spent last night in Samuel's Heritage.
We were warmly greeted by the hosts Susan and Des and given a brief overview of the facilities before being shown to our room.
Our room was lovely and bright with a fantastic view onto the river Suir and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast this morning was superb....beautiful home made mini scones with home made jam and marmalade.
The full Irish Breakfast was delicious with perfectly cooked fried eggs (which is a rarity).
If I could give stars, I would.

Superb from start to finish 

An exceptional place to stay, combining the comfort and fit-out of an hotel with the homeliness, warm service and home cooking of a B&B. If you have a car there is no better place to stay in Waterford

Exceptional

This was an amazing night stay!  We wish we had planned an extra day here.  Our rooms were large and pristine.  Susan is amazing and informative-she helped us get reservations at a local restaurant.  Our breakfast was delicious and there was something for all of us-even our vegetarian.  We needed to ship some things and Susan and Des provided the boxes we needed.  The property is beautiful and we were able to watch the most amazing sunset--it rivaled the sunsets in Hawaii.  Thank you for an amazing stay!

Beautiful!

We had a wonderful night at the Samuel's Heritage B&B. As the second stop of our Ireland tour, we found peace and relaxation here after the lively and noisy Dublin. The entrance to the property already puts you in the mood: the world is still fine here. Susan and Des operate on a hill just outside Waterford such a nice little family B&B. Susan is a brilliant and open-hearted host who delivers delicious breakfast in the morning with a whisper and a whisper.
