The stay at this facility was very surprising. As with so much serenity, peace and excellent cuisine. Affectionate and kind staff. Spacious room and still essential. Giving a spectacular view and being at peace immersed in nature is a very beautiful thing that refreshes your soul!

So much serenity and great cooking.

During our stay at the hotel/restaurant Lacina we have had a unique experience, being transported to a fairy-tale world, where the intense green of pine trees and beech trees combines with the transparency of a terracotta sky and fresh water to offer healthy and purifying air to our body and a picturesque landscape to our eyes. We want to call this place sweet and lush, a small paradise on the ground, far from the sounds of sleep and the pollution of the senses in which we are forced to live every day, where you were on a plum cushion, to rest your tired body, your tired and overwhelmed mind, and to make sure that your little heart knows the good things to eat, your oxygen-free, your ready to eat.

I remember Lacina.

She spent a fantastic week in the woods and the sea (Ionio and Tyrrhenius an hour's drive away). Excellent treatment, fantastic staff, especially the 2 receptionists Loredana and Maria in addition to the very Chef and pastry bathrooms. The room was of adequate size as well as the bathroom. Something to laugh about the bed quite noisy at the slightest movement. Exceptional view of the lake and coniferous trees surrounding the hotel.

A week of real relaxation.

We spent a weeek end (three days) looking for relaxation, tranquility and good cuisine in this cozy, clean and comfortable facility, with very large rooms and a wonderful view. I am especially keen to note the kindness and extreme availability of all the staff who went to great lengths to satisfy all our requests, including those extra!

Weekend of relaxation and good cooking

I stopped for one night during a tour of work in the area, and I had been suggested as a quiet and optimal reference point for the last Giro d'Italia, for an excellent dinner and a few hours of healthy psychological relaxation...but it was much more. Starting from the warmth and care with which I was welcomed, both by the Director and by the excellent staff. Just the week before my stay the Hotel was chosen by the journalist staff of the last Giro d'Italia when precisely enjoying playing in Serra San Bruno.

High quality in the Calabrian Serres... at the right price!

This was one of our several locations during our honeymoon in southern Italy.  This was a welcomed break from the beach-filled trip.  Here you were able to get away from the touristy areas and enjoy nature.

Unfortunately it rained for the short time we were here and spent most of our time inside.  We visited the lake once and made a short hike through the woods.  This was the only bad weather we had on the two week trip and I of course won't blame the hotel for that.  We'll just have to stay here for a future anniversary!

The bikes which the hotel offered to guests were in serious need of repair and we could not get very far with them.  The food was good, but also a little overpriced.

The best part was the friendly staff.  They were very attentive to our needs and a few people even spoke English, which was hard to find in southern Italy.  Even the people we couldn't speak with always had big smiles and were happy to play charades!

Since this location is in the middle of nowhere, be sure to use a GPS if you rent a car!

Bridgette and Steve from Canada --My husband and I can wholeheartedly recommend this "Little Bit of Heaven Hotel" We spend our second honeymoon at Hotel Lacina  last year and I can honestly say that the service, the personalized staff attention, the scrumptious food - the cleanliness of the entire hotel and rooms, and value for dollar is second to none- We are seasoned travelers, having travelled throughout Europe, the far East and Middle East and the Eastern block and have seen the very best, and yes, sad to say the worst .. So when we re-commend we do so with total honesty because we count on others recommendations for our own travel... And yes, we are quite particular and spoiled!
This hotel welcomes and caters to the very young and the young at heart - and they do so with pleasure, smile and pride...The hotel is located on a mountain overlooking a fabulous lake and the Ocean beach is not far at all --- Activities are at your pace, and the hotel is extremely secure -- We are professional people from Toronto Canada and looking forward to return again this Summer to take a fresh breath of that invigorating mountain air and to be pampered and spoiled once again--- Enjoy!
