When I had to go to Budrio for treatment I discovered this very pleasant and well-kept farmhouse. It is connected to a handyman and the rooms have been skillfully obtained from former stalls.

A warranty

I stayed as a couple at 'La Dondina' booking by phone a week before arrival. I had requested and agreed with the owner (appreciating her kindness and availability) the possibility of having the check in after 24:00. she explained to me where I would find the keys to the wedding room booked at the entrance of the farmhouse. I had however sent an email a few days before arrival to remind him to the hotel, confirming the surname and other details. Unfortunately the hotel completely forgot about our booking: the locks were NOT placed where agreed and, moreover, the person who welcomed us (we are very welcome and unlucky to leave us out!) gave at least one room to the GROUPE to the guest, saying they had not received any more things from me.

It's a nice place, but with a remorse.

Synthetically I vote for various items from 1 to 5 with primary justification: Location 4 - Bell'agriturismo in the Bolognese countryside, excellent the idea of creating rooms in the stables of the horses, well-successful and very beautiful, the direct exit on a beautiful park opposite the rooms is very comfortable and pleasant to view, because with the summer heat the lack of a conditioning in the rooms makes them almost impractical.

Nice, but with a few hiccups...

Saturday 29 July 2017 my boyfriend and his puppy stayed one night in this property; all three of us were amazed at the beauty of the farmhouse, arrived at dinner time we hurried to bring our suitcases to the room and then go to dinner in the center of Budrio. The owner just saw our hairy friend immediately worried about cleaning the room after our passage, and immediately removed the carpet from the room. We went back in the afternoon, lit the lights we immediately noticed a cockroach running around the room, after detecting it and taking it, we realized that it was invaded by cockroaches under the bed, behind the radio and under the tail armor of our four-legged friend.

I'm going to hunt them down!

It deserves a positive review, a quiet, friendly owner like you usually find around here, willing to respond to a variety of needs, you might get a little better, but overall the judgment is positive.

Positive

A clever conversion that complements the existing business - you stay in converted stables which back onto working stables. Food excellent - the lemon tagliatelle is the food of angels! The only slight niggle would be that the stables are dark inside and the presence of the horses mean the presence of insects - we invested in a fly spray that saw off those that got through the bug screens.

Great Food and Stabling

I've been there several times in particular in the accommodation and I've been really but really well and I've rested so well that before I left I even looked at the brand of the mattress because besides being so restful everything was driven by the calm and tranquility of the place. You wake up in the morning that you're really rested and breakfast was really plentiful with cakes of various nature. In winter accommodation well heated and excellent cleaning.

Sweet rest

I stayed two nights cycling with Headwater.com. The food was excellent and wine price good. The room was previously a stable and had a concrete floor but it was good and had an en-suite shower room with loo. Quite spacious. I cycled with two couples, one couple had another stable, the other couple had much better accommodation but probably paid for an upgrade so that is an option.

The horses are now stabled behind the rooms and whinny a bit by day but are silent by night. You can see them at work. They look fantastic. Probably thoroughbreds, but with more arab looking heads than a TB racehorse.

Wi-Fi painfully slow much of the time but good 3G mobile access.

On departure I left behind a pair of expensive Leica binoculars. On emailing they immediately said they had them and return is being arranged. All credit as I did say I was not sure that I had left them there.

Excellent meals, good room. Honest staff.

The rooms are properly furnished (they used to be horse boxes) and renovated. I was there in the night of 18 to 19 July 2015. Due to the climatic conditions and because the rooms are not air-conditioned, accommodation is not recommended in summer conditions. It is recommended to ask the operator in advance if the location is booked for a party, as it is only possible to sleep after the end of the party. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room left something to be desired. I would not stay there any longer.

It's beautiful.

we stayed for two nights.  The rooms are comfortable (old stables, but nicely converted, if fairly basic).  The welcome was exceptional, and meals of the highest quality, in a lovely old restaurant in the main building of the complex.  

The owner Roberta was extremely helpful, and was always on hand to help with food, drink, or local information.
