Dreamy atmosphere in the autumn light. Perfect location, great hostess, pure recreation! So it doesn't always have to be the hot summer. The property is idyllic with views of Montepuldtciano below the Stächen Sinalunga. The picturesque garden invites you to read, eat, have fun. Everything is top top kept.

Indian Summer in Tuscany!

It's a lovely scenic ride on horseback, immersed in nature, the horses are very quiet, I found the staff very handy and friendly! I really highly recommend it for those who like to be in touch with nature and animals!

Best score for Villa Il Poggio. Perfect ambience. We felt great again at Elisabetta. Great hostess! With heart! Villa Il Poggio - great location! Everything is within 30 minutes: Montefellonico, Montalcino, Cortona, Pienza, Arrezzo, Siena... We are back.... ❤️❤️

A perfect holiday in Tuscany!

We stayed in the sunflower apartment.
The kitchen was rustic but in keeping with the setting, very pretty and equipped with everything we needed.
Outside the apartment there is a lovely gravelled patio area, great for morning coffee, with views over the gardens and pool.
There is a BBQ area by the pool which we used every night!
Elisabetta was very helpful and obviously works very hard to keep the villa, pool and gardens beautifully presented.
We are dog people so we loved having the dogs come and say hello to us, but if you are not a dog person don't worry as they are all very friendly.
Take mozzie spray! as expected for the area and time of year we needed it.
Great value and perfectly located to visit surrounding area and places such as Montepulciano and Siena
My partner and I absolutely loved it and will return for a longer stay

Fabulous and relaxing stay

Having visited last year we couldn't help but book again for this years Tuscany visit. Having stayed in an en suite room this year we decided to stay in one of the apartments this year and weren't disappointed. The grounds are immaculate and the host Elisabetta is welcoming and  does a wonderful job at maintaining the beautiful grounds and house. We can't wait to come back next year.

Tuscan dream

My husband and I stayed three nights in the Sunflower Apartment here and loved it so much! I only wish we had stayed an entire week.

The apartment was perfect for two, with a small kitchen where we made breakfast (finally, eggs in Italy!). It was very comfortable, with nice bedding and towels, and a big bathroom. How nice to have a shower that one can actually move around in! 

The location is fantastic, just a short drive from all of the sites such as Montepulciano and Montalcino. We loved driving around the countryside, which was easy except for figuring out parking -- we don't speak any Italian, and I thought the No Parking sign meant Don't Drive Here. My bad!

We loved the grounds, the horses, the pig, the dogs, the VIEWS!! Elisabetta was a great host, and gave us simple directions to get to a few places such as a fantastic grocery store. She is a lovely lady!

We didn't find a lot to do in Sinalunga itself. Elisabetta recommended one restaurant in town, but we arrived without a reservation and could not be seated. Minor inconvenience!

My husband and I would love to go back!

Dream Stay

Booked to come here through air b n b, and what a discovery. We loved every second, the grounds are beautiful, the scenery is outstanding and Elisabetta and her hospitality was out of this world. Very Italian and definitely off the tourist path. We will be back next year. Thank you Elisabetta

I was there for a short stay with my family. I think it would be better if I hadn't asked for an informal and at the same time historically valuable setting.

The setting is reminiscent of certain costumed films such as The English Patient or Camera with View, both for the furniture and for the curtains all vintage as well as for family objects. Who comes to Villa al Poggio must be aware that he will not find all modern amenities like fridge bar or TV in the room, the wifi connection is available only in the common area and does not reach the rooms. Here you come in customers and quiet and is highly recommended for those who love animals.

Environment of other times in total tranquility

We just can't get enough! the seventh Tuscan holiday and the fourth time at Elisabetta. It's just right. Our apartment with romantic and sun-protected laube is just perfect. I love standing in the kitchen and preparing the salad with enough space and wide open windows while my boys are grilling the fish at the pool downstairs. We conserve the view from the pool into the enchanting landscape - that lasts a year, then we have to refuel. The gravel under our feet creaks when you take the first coffee in the morning and jump into the water. And when it rains (rarely, but surely) you just sit down to enjoy a nice snack at the old grocery grocery stores and get to know the old canvas and the beautiful wine in the villa. I've already got a day's work to do with the help of the grocery store!
