L' Essenza is a magical place! The 4 small cottages are wonderful. Each is dedicated to a special plant and this is reflected down to the room color and even the room scent! We had the lavender room and felt very comfortable in the purple room. It is located in the middle of nature and incredibly quiet, perfect for winding down & relaxing! Celeste whipped us up a wonderful breakfast and the best oat milk cappuccino every morning. Her caring nature matches the whole charm of the Essenza. The accommodation is perfect for exploring the beautiful nature around Tepilora Nature Park or the nearby beaches. We were even able to see wild flamingos! L'Essenza is a clear heart recommendation! Grazie mille! 💙


Magical Essenza!

It's not what I expected. The way to get there is full of deep, unmarked holes, the green around is dry and abandoned inside and out with unpleasant or inadequate lights, dogs barking all night. The room was rustic but from our point of view, it wasn't worth the price.

Expectations betrayed

It's been a real shame to find a place that's been neglected and largely neglected, even though the images on the website and social media push the place like it's an oasis, dog droppings, abandoned garden, dried plants, breakfast cookies...

Unfortunately a disappointment

The road to the structure is steep and steep with few visible indications. We were greeted by a lady who was immediately annoyed that we were in 5 and not 6 as booked, immediately insisting that she would avoid making the bed ready with extra added. Putrophy due to an unforeseen occurred less than an hour before our arrival the sixth person could not show up. Nevertheless, I nevertheless paid for the addition of the extra bed which, I want to clarify, was not a bed but a brandina half a meter from the ground! Clean room but definitely small there was no room for personal suitcases. The towels had an unpleasant smell, did not smell permanently fresh.

Unfortunately, the high cost does not justify the quality of the service.

Location ok, but a bit in nowhere. What really turn this place into a catastrophy is the host. She has an attitude problem. At breakfast she will be cheap with servings and not accomodating. No eggs, no italian ham, scarce supply of other things. What topped it for us is when she denied us breakfast coming 1-2 minutes late for a sunday - being 1000hrs. Never in our life experienced this type of anti-hospitality. Go somewhere else!

Terrible service

Valeria has built  a truly special place in the foothills. I arrived as a plant lover entrigued by the making and use of scent to create an inviiting and rellaxing experience for your guests. I was looking to unwind, be in nature, explore the region and take in the smells of the countryside. My stay exceeded my expectations. 

Driving up the hillside to Essenza you arrive at the top of a hill with amazing views of the valley, mountains and sea.  Everything was thoughtfully put together. I was in the Lavendar room and slept the best I have slept in a long time. The adobe walls creating a quiet and the scent of lavander relaxing me. I was there in Spring so the flowering shrubs all released a different scent that made walking around the property delightful. The rooms, breakfast area and outdoor sitting areas all provided a sense of home, comfort, warm natural materials blended with antique objects adding sophistication. 
It was a great location to explore the beaches, coastline, and I went for wonderful hikes. 
Valeria is very kind, welcoming, and thoughtful. It was a dream to be there and to share in her dream. 
I look forward to visiting again!

A peaceful place to exhale

A wonderful place for those looking for some peace and relaxation, away from the traffic and annoying noise of the city. Marina was an extremely kind and generous host, suggesting places to eat that actually met our expectations. The laundry room was really nice and the scent made relaxation easier.

Perfect for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

What a beautiful place, what a magical place, what a beautiful, what a brilliant idea, everything clean and perfect. The owner is very kind and generous. The only thing is the lack of brioches or a homemade cake for breakfast.

The World of Wonders

The place is an oasis of calm away from the noise and crowds. Our room (juniper) was very cozy and clean, with candles and a scent of essential oil. Marina was a very kind and attentive host. We were unlucky with the weather and had to ask for an extra duvet - it was no problem. She also remembered our breakfast preferences, which was very sweet (breakfast was superb by the way - local produce of great quality and taste). We appreciate the concept of the place, the scents, the colors and the feeling of absolute calmness. The only thing you hear is cute cat meows, the occasional barking of a neighbor's dog and sheep bells at a distance. Great place to relax!

Beautiful place with great attention to detail

A NIGHTMARE! All their reviews on famous magazines must be paid!

I booked a night here for my mom and aunt. They travelled one hour to find the place, and when they got there, they found a bad-maintained place, in the middle of nowhere. There was only one lady to welcome them and she left soon, so they were left alone in the complex. 

The food basket you see in their pictures was actually cold pizza and quinoa salad. Besides, they were left with no dinner, since they were supposed to book dinner two nights before arrival, but no one told them. There were no restaurants nearby or any business willing to deliver to such a far place. 

Deeply upset, my mom decided to leave after less than an hour. Even though she had travelled so far to find out she was just scammed, she wasn’t even fully reimbursed. The owner said that they had used the bathroom, therefore kept over 100 Euro from her and only reimbursed the massages they didn’t do. 

I reached out to the owner by Instagram and she blocked me. I reached out by email. Never received a reply!
