This place is a simple place without luxuries but with all the amenities and the attention it provides makes you feel like you are in your own home.

Excellent attention and attention.

When we booked hotels in Japan, we thought it would be the best place to stay in Kyoto and Nara, and it was very convenient to go from here, but not so close, and not so good on the way to the station. But first of all, the good news is that the price is really good, and the location is very convenient, just 700 meters from Osaka railway station, and given that we're still travelling from here to Kyoto and Nara, it's very convenient to stay here. So here's the great skyscraper of Umeda Sky Building with the rooftop area - of course, we've only got to go there.

If you want a little comfort, look somewhere else.

We were not planning on staying in Osaka but after trying to book accommodation in Kyoto with no success (it was a holiday weekend apparently) we gave it a go. Everything was extremely expensive so for our budget, Umeda Dormitory was the best option.
We enjoyed our stay very much, thanks to Kazu who was always super happy to help and we shared very nice conversations with him. Facilities were great, we could make our breakfasts and dinners as there was a great supermarket close by. 
Shower was 100 yen for 6 minute which was more than enough for us and washing machine also a small fee. 
Although the room was super small, the bed was comfortable. Maybe if we stayed longer we would stay somewhere else just to have a bit more space, but it was fine for us this time.
The only down side of our stay (and this had nothing to do with the place itself) was that the first night, another guest stole some money we had on the kitchen bench while friendly talking to us. Had to go and knock his door and ask for it, which he returned. And then a group of Chinese people were staying on our same floor and were extreme loud at all times (specially after midnight, when you are trying to sleep). 
Overall, we had a good stay and probably would come back if staying for a couple of nights.

Enjoyed our stay, Kazu is a great host.

pro:
- Good location - very friendly and helpful owner - washing machine and dryer for a cheap fee - comfortable beds - clean rooms 
con:
- the shower is 100 Yen for 4 minutes - the common rooms are dirty - shower is not very hygenic - very, very small rooms, do yourself a favor and book a bigger room - no windows in any of the rooms - ac runs all night, can't be switched off 

Ok for a short stay, I guess. For 6 nights I'd rather go somewhere else and happily pay more.

GH is located 10 minutes from JR station and 5 minutes from the metro. It is necessary to ring the doorbell the first time (it is not easy to locate) and the owner will facilitate the access code. It has an elevator. Very small room with letter and key tiles. Just space created using wooden dividers. Seats and bathroom to share in each plant. It is dirty. On the 5th floor is the common clothes room, kitchen, washing machine and laundry room. Two showers, washing machine and dryer operate at a coin. They have two dryers and dryer areas, but it is in the hallway and not much intimacy, plus the cola that is formed by all the people who want to shower. There is a dirty community area. Due to the fact that there is a very nice and friendly kitchen area upstairs.

Cheap and dirty.

It's cheap but it doesn't worth any of it. This place is dirty, dark, frightening, smelly and very unpleasant. Although Mr. Kazu is very nice and friendly, trust me and find another place, there much better places at the same price in Osaka. We just slept one night because it was to late to find another place, we left the morning after even having paid for 3 nights.
