Nice location in Shinjuku. Sadly that’s about all that can be raved about. 
You’ve got to be switched on moving around this place otherwise the lift will crush you. 
The beds are firm and the duvet is essentially a blanket. We were also woken up at 1am to someone doing a vlogging for 10minutes very loudly. 
The closest thing we found to a sauna was the room temperature at night, even when you lower the AC to the lowest setting. I wouldn’t want to come back in the middle of Summer… 

Toilets weren’t the nicest, but the showers were pretty good.

Hot hostel

This hostel is a great location near to the train station. Cheapest hostel I stayed in during my time in tokyo. I wouldn't reccomend it as the beds were so uncomfortable but it was totally manageable. Showers were fine, only waited 5 minutes to use it one day, other days there were no wait. Washing facilities were great too. Felt relatively safe because lockers were available. 

Cheap! 

Clean mixed room with unlimited wifi and good quality, many electric sockets to charge its electronic devices, common bathroom. Possibility of free bathrooms in the basement, washing machines and dryer, free tea and coffee available. Serviettes also available for free. Very nice staff and guide to Tokyo in French offered! Only a bemool, the mattress a little hard but for the price, it is really top.

Very good value for money

This hostel is well located. The people are very hospitable. Serviettes are available free of charge. Coffee and tea at will. The capsules are nice and give you a little privacy.

Nice hostel.

Don’t stay here if you expect a normal capsule hostel or any normal hostel at that. 

The check in and staff is friendly, off course it is, this is Japan we’re talking about.

The rest of the experience was horrible. Tiny thin mattresses through which you can feel the wooden understructure, no calm nights sleeping on those unless you like very hard beds.

The common room is a joke with 3 rotten couches with dirty blankets on them and a few vending machines. 

The shower areas are molded and for such a big hostel there are only 4 showers per gender group. When 2 person are showering at the same time, the water pressure drops to an all time low and you are showering under a little spray of water! 

Only book this if all the above really doesn’t matter to you and you just want a cheap place to stay no matter the sleep and relaxation you get.

Disappointment 

The only reason you should go here is because for Tokyo prices it is relatively cheap (€26 per night). But I do not recommend this hostel to anybody that wants to get some sleep. practically sleep on wood. I barely had any sleep in this hostel. And me and my friend stayed here for 6 nights. 
There are 4 male and 4 female showers. This sounds like a lot, but they don’t give any water when 2 are used at the same time. In a 9 floor hostel with more than 20 beds per floor, you can imagine that happens a lot. Also a queue line at the showers several times. 
There’s no atmosphere what so ever, even though they have a ‘common room’ on the 9th floor. This room could be turned into something great, but now it is just a huge empty space with two couches and two vending machines. No music, no people, no cozy lights, nothing. Because there is no place to gather with fellow travellers, there’s hardly any possibility to connect with new people. 
The only reason you should go here is because for Tokyo prices it is relatively cheap (€26 per night). But I do not recommend this hostel to anybody that wants to get some sleep. 

Awful

My 7. floor capsule (pod) in the ladies’ dorm was okay, but the guests were noisy and anyone could just walk in. The locker was too narrow for my standard-sized hand luggage and the carpet was stained. Toilets and washrooms were next door and clean enough. There are a few moldy showers in the basement serving all capsules, and there's only 1 lift (no stairs) for all 11 floors.

Free coffee and tea in the lobby downstairs, but the furniture in the common room (floor 9) was dirty and damaged. Dirnks from the machine in both locations. At reception you can grab a free towel, and a coin for 10 minutes of shower. Staff was friendly.

For an authentic Japanese capsule experience go somewhere else.

Neglected tourist hotel

Ace Inn Shinjuku is a cheap Capsule Hotel very close to Akebonobashi Station of Toei Subway Shinjuku Line!!  I have stayed here for several times. It's good to stay here, if you drink after midnight and you cannot find a hotel in Shinjuku.

Good little hostel. Clean and comfortable wooden capsules beds. The bed is already made when you arrive, I'll admit it's a plus that I've been sensitive to. The showers and sanitation are correct, without being at the exceptional level of cleanliness I've seen at other establishments. Free and unlimited showers that run with chips (free and unlimited). Clean bath towels and available at the reception for free (it's really nice). I don't think there's any kitchen, by the way.

Nothing to blame.

A clean, organized, safe place, with English speakers, Wi-Fi, and near the subway station, super safe, with 24-hour service, apart from the fact that the price is super affordable and there are several shops next to the hostel!
