I tried both this hotel and the more luxury nearby Shekinah. Different in price and luxury,but both well worth the money. The Htike has a very cozy atmosphere and you feel part of 'the family' (the very friendly and helpful staff) from the first till the last moment. Everything was  kept clean at all times, staff very willing to help with bustickets and more, and I loved the breakfast on the rooftop: there I felt a slice of paradise...

Very nice atmosphere & super clean

Good, clean rooms, very nice and hospitable staff. Not very quiet because it's on a busy road - but at night it's perfectly fine. Breakfast is more for Asian customers, but there's toast with jam and coffee. And it's nice to adapt to the customs of the country.

Simple but very good hotel in good condition

We visited this lovely hotel where we stayed 2 nights. The stuff was outstanding, looked after us at all times. They were very kind, friendly and helpful. Gave us tips where to go, they even gave us maps incase we got lost. They spoke English which was an extra.
The room was clean and tidy as well as the bathroom. Our friends had shared bathroom which was clean too. Beds were comfy with new mattresses.
Breakfast was okey, we could have some eggs, toast, jam, butter. However, it was strange that they had rice and noodles in the morning. As long as there were some coffee they got me. Although you cannot really find other than 3in1 or instant variants. We got used to it too.
I recommend it, well done!!

Superb

The room was clean and the staff were great!  However, the price was just too much for what they were offering.  A shared bathroom with no hot water, weak water pressure and no wash basin.  The breakfast was just ok (noodles, rice or toast).  There was nothing special that would make me pay over $20 per night and when I'm back in Pathein, I'll stay at another hotel

Super kind and friendly staff...........great breakfast.......good wifi........an excellent short stay on my way to the beach.........the price was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area......they halved the price on my arrival which was very king

FANTASTIC

This hotel is on the main road and easily accessible. The rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The water pressure for a warm shower is very low, but at least it is warm. The air-conditioning worked well and is a good addition to the room.  This is a good place to stay for a night or two.

Average hotel

If I could, I would give you 4.5 stars. We stayed here for 3 nights and are very satisfied with the service, price/performance, cleanliness & location. Since we stayed at the much more expensive Ngapali Beach the week before, we decided to save money at the Htike (not Myike) Myan San Hotel for the first two nights and booked the cheaper $20 room. For a double room it's very small and doesn't smell like a flower garden, but everything is fine.

Very satisfied with the hotel standard!

This hotel is also decorated in Chinese style. The location is good and central, the night market can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes. The cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms is fine, the room is spacious. Again the shower is in the middle of the bathroom, so that after a shower the whole floor is wet. The breakfast is served on the roof of the hotel and is more in line with Asian breakfast habits (soup, noodles, rice). Just like the staff at the reception, the staff at the breakfast is very friendly.

Good value for money

Price/performance great. rooms clean and for a few dollars more with a private bathroom. The location is also central, a few meters from the center and the night market. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace. Anytime again.

Great to explore Pathein.

Friendly, competent and English speaking managers and employees, very well organized with tips for the city and further travel (advantaged bus tickets included), free bicycles.
