We stayed in room 101 for one night 22/23 Sept.

The outside had good views and a very nice pool with a good location. 

Reception were unable to tell us any information as no one spoke English and no written information regarding parking or Wi-Fi code was supplied.

Once received the WiFi was only ok for email and intermittent, no good for streaming.

The apartment was dated and the appliances in the kitchen and the TV were old the wooden furniture discoloured and chipped. The lamp in the lounge was rusty. 

The bathroom is in need of a total  refurbishment it is old and everything discoloured with chipped tiles, toilet seat chipped and unhygienic. The toilet roll holder rusty.

The bedroom had no extra pillows or a quilt just a sheet and thin cover on the bed.

The whole apartment smelt of damp.

The management should check the quality of each apartment and insist on refurbishments to a decent standard.

Old, smelly and tired apartment

Great location.

Appalling WiFi (hardly any signal).
Badly equipped kitchen.
Stayed for 4 days . It was a fabulous location and the stay was pleasant.
Unfortunately there was no signal for the Wifi and I had to work remotely.
I complained on a daily basis but the excuses were vague and rather patronising.
The kitchen was without any utensils or soap to clean cutlery or dishes.
The room was cleaned daily by friendly staff.

The apartment has everything, the bed is very comfortable, the common areas with gardens are very nice, and the swimming pool area is new, with very comfortable and very well-conditioned lounges.

The hotel has a newly built part and an old one that has nothing to do with the renovation.Though we have contacted the hotel twice and confirmed that we were staying in the new part, which is our surprise when we arrived and the accommodation has nothing to do with the booking or the comment made by phone.In the face of the situation, no solution: that they are complete and that the reservations are made from one year to the next...Though we have the reservation made 6 months in advance, it seems that this is not enough.

Attention and service reservation is excellent.

The establishment is beautiful, but the attention is terrible. It is expensive and all new but not maintained. Put a fair handle, but not easy to break down, to clean it. The afternoon care girl is dark brown and long hair very unpleasant. The hot water broke down, and after two hours of unanswered, by placing the claim the maintenance guy himself, warned the owner that it was not very pleasant either, that he had already warned him and that he would listen. Total that the price is high and the treatment a disaster. It is a I want and I can't and it is a pity because with a little more love it would be a good place. I do not recommend the Portico for it is a good hotel and a professional example of treatment.

 lamentable

The management MUST update the photographs on the website; they are awful and prevent people booking. They don’t show the new wing and pool area which are lovely. The front desk and cleaning staff are great; there are two cafes linked to the apartments which are OK. The €11 parking charge is a little expensive considering location. We will go back.

Great staff and location

I spent 4 days in Zahara de los Atunes in these apartments Gran Sol. I didn't know them, but they do have the hotel they have. And what a disappointment that in the photos they have posted on the internet, everything is wonderful! Once there, I think they've been without cleaning the complex for months! Careful, hairballs like we're in the old west, green pool... and the apartment, more of the same!

The girl in charge of the reception who stole a loader and a pendulum and had to force the client to return it to the apartment hotel The parking lot, good accesses and large squares The apartments that are being renovated, the others pay off. The worst are the unrenovated rooms, with the smell of humidity and.... The rest of the reception staff have no thanks, no greetings. LO BETTER and LO WORSE

There is an area of new and old apartments, they are the same when it has nothing to do with it since the old one needs a renovation, the drawer is old and sparkling all the time when you use it and there is a lot of clarity in the whole apartment since there are no curtains on the windows. We asked that we be allowed a few more hours to decorate the ap and we were asked to charge 100 euros for having empty apartments. On the last day we picked up the car from the parking lot at 4 pm because we spent the morning on the beach and we were charged all day.

Very dissatisfied.

We knew the apartments of the previous year because some friends stayed there, and this year we decided to go mainly because of the new ones and their location. We booked a one-bedroom apartment for 16 days and in all phone conversations referring to the new area of the hotel (with Manoli reception). The comment was that we were traveling with 2 children. One of them was just born. When we arrived we were surprised that we had been staying in the old part, in a kitchen with a small terrace located above an Italian restaurant with their respective tables, cupcakes and cupcakes until 1 and peak of the morning.
