Could be a Hacienda, but this is a real Andalusian one. Build up again by Hubert Deckers. Time stops when you arrive in his Cortijo-Piltraque. Warm welcome by Marianne and Hubert among their Olive-trees. 
Even if you arrive without a car, it's easy to go to Malaga. it only takes a beautiful walk over a hill to reach the center of Colmenar, and 45 minutes by bus for only a bit more the a few Euro's. 
Taste the local wines, cava and most of all.. Hubert's art !! the diner !!  you even use your sixth sense during diner. Meanwhile you'll learn about the greatness of all these small raw materials. Don't forget to ask the Colmenar local hotels about the special dish, created together with Don Hubert.   
In Malaga, visit Antonio Banderas' favorite bar El Pimpi, and if lucky you see the sleeping elephant mountain as from the Piltraque terrace.

Luxury B&B and diner by the hand of Master-Chef Hubert Deckers

Everything very elegant, neat and welcoming, the magical atmosphere of paradise accompanied by Hubert's discretion and attention to the guest, excellent service, a structure of rare beauty, a charming location.

What is it?

We like the Colmenar area and are therefore very happy to have come to know and appreciate a guest house like the Cortijo Piltraque. The building has been extensively renovated, the rooms are large and decorated in a kind of Long Island style that is very much in line with our taste. This also applies to the generous community area from which you can access the huge terrace with pool, bunk, daybeds and some more. Hubert is a relaxed host that also hosts a three-course menu at Wirsens several times a week in the evening - very tasty and quality.

Cortijo deluxe in a rough environment

We have spent three perfect days at Cortijo Piltraque. 
The house is only 30 minutes from Malaga Airport, in the middle of mountains, with an amazing view. Ideally located to visit Andalucia (Malaga, Cordoba, Granada...). 
We were welcomed by Hubert, the nice Belgian owner, with a delicious meal on the terrace (Hubert is a former Chef and he is really talented!). 
The house and the rooms are very comfortable and quiet, very well decorated with luxury as well as simplicity. In winter you can enjoy chimney fire in your room.
And in summer (which is our experience) you will enjoy the deck-chairs around the huge and warm swimming-pool surrounded by the mountains. 
We absolutely recommend this little piece of heaven!

A marvellous B&B in Andalucia

Only a 30 minute drive away from Malaga City Center, this oasis of peace and hospitality blew our mind. We stayed for a week, and we will definitely return when we pass through the region. Hubert is a great host, and makes sure that everyone enjoys their stay. Breakfast is superb with fresh juice, a breakfast buffet and eggs the way you want them. If you like, you can stay for dinner, which never disappointed. The 15m long pool is heated, so you're never cold, and the location of this B&B is ideally situated to explore the mountains and beaches surrounding mallaga.  Highly recommended!

highly recommended! the perfect B&B?

At the end of September, we stayed for four days in this very high-quality and charmingly furnished guesthouse/hotel. There is a very personal atmosphere and each guest is personally cared for by the host. The breakfast and dinner were at a very high level, so overall we were completely satisfied with our stay.

Perfect for shutting down.

Our second stay and everything is still just as perfect - warm welcome, extremely comfortable rooms, charming scenery, a beautiful place, and delicious meals!

It's a great stay.

We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived by the lovely owners. They have managed to combine luxury with simplicity to create a wonderfully peaceful getaway. The setting is superb up in the mountains above Malaga and the views from the terrace must be unrivalled in the valley. The rooms are very tasteful. Hubert's cooking is wonderful and always delivered with a friendly smile. And if you like dogs, then you are in for a treat. My wife and I went for a holiday but came away with so much more. We will certainly be back.

Paradise in Andalucia

The living room in this hotel has something magical, the atmosphere, the colors, the setting. It seems everything is prepared to make you feel like a little paradise!!!! Then there is also the courtesy of the staff and the perfection of the furniture...

Magical atmosphere

Small jewel in Andalusia, about thirty kilometers from Malaga but with a fairy tale setting and a panoramic view of the Malaga hills, this B&B is pure happiness... It all starts with the super warm welcome of the owners, Hubert and Annemie, who have only one goal, it is that you are well and that you are having the most pleasant stay possible. The rooms are furnished with a lot of taste and the vi-spring beds are extremely comfortable. As for the meals, they are simply divine, they are prepared by Hubert who in a previous life had a starry restaurant and who kept all his little Borina dishes secret but we can put in the best place and enjoy the hostels for their most pleasant visits... We have already enjoyed our home with our two great dogs and two great dogs and we have been able to play with our two great dogs and all our great friends and have enjoyed our lovely little ones and have enjoyed our lovely little ones and all our lovely little ones and have enjoyed our lovely little ones in the house.
