Fantastic location, fantastic restoration and adaptation of the grand building of the old international railway station of Canfranc. Very good service, cleanliness, food, and comfort. We will definitely return and surely with the whole family. Gran Experiencia highly recommended.

Canfranc Station, a Royal Hideaway Hotel - Experiencia

I spent the last weekend in these apartments. The sheets of one of the beds were missing. One person had no chair in the dining room, the wedding bed was not worth pulling out, the blankets were not clean, the only pantry to pull out was dirty, the bidet didn't work with the hot water and besides no nos.We could shower because there was no hot water. And the best part was that there was no curtain or pad in the shower... let's say you were sitting in front of a window outside and like.cortin a ridiculous curtain in the form of umbrellas of the year. An experience not to be repeated. Anyway, we had to arrange everything so that no one would have our experience. Besides cheap, there was nothing....Fatal.

The experience was fatal.

As soon as you approach Canfranc-Estacion by road from Jaca, this immense building is visible on the right-hand side.

I say "immense"  because my first impression was reminiscent of programmes I had seen of the Nazi era Prora holiday camp on the Baltic island of Ruegen.  This old Germanic theme continued once I had collected my keys between 17:00 and 20:00 and entered the tired looking building's interior where, owing to an absence of visitors, the place was spooky and eerie and reminded me of Stasi scenes I had seen in 'Das Leben der Anderen'  and 'Deutschland 83'.  It was even more chilling to take the lift down to the car park where few cars were using it.  I'm sure during the peak summer and winter months when there is more activity in the town, Altur 5 experiences more activity.

I felt safe in my room as there was a heavy lock on the door in addition to the key lock.  The absence of visitors and owners (it is a mixture of owned and rented apartments), made the stay somewhat unpleasant.

If you do decide to stay there, take your own towels and shampoo and shower gel.  While the supply of hot water was plentiful, the shower head had a life of its own when attempting to shower, something we all experience in so many hotels and apartments.

The purpose of my trip was to visit the famous nearby train station and surrounding area therefore two nights were enough.

A cross between Prora and a Stasi Detention Centre

The title of my opinion is due to the fact that I was able to read the opinions of the people who had stayed at Altur 5 de Canfranc before I arrived, and I admit that I was somewhat skeptical about what I was going to find, and, surprisingly, my experience does not reflect at all what has been written about these apartments (and I assure you that I did not take a commission to write this review).The attention received, a 10.A receptionist called me on my way to sleep to see what time it was coming.The worker who waited for us to arrive, very kind and amusing, gave my children a conversation.The apartment, which I expected to find was filled with flies in a very precious room, according to the rooms in the basement, was clean, clean, clean, converted, with excess of food, and so on, and so on, and so forth.

 Expectations exceeded

I think like most people, one thing is called LOW cost and the other is that the bed has no sheets in the sleeper, we had to sleep on the floor, there were no saunas or towels, 2 vases and 4 cups for everyone, little household and the only pan did not serve to throw it in the trash.

The apartment, in which we stayed 3, is advertised for 6 people (an apartment of no more than 45 m2 with a bathroom) The floor has two greenhouses, to call them in some way that only if they manage to heat the air that surrounds them and that they also make constant noise.In the kitchen not a single knife can cut, it was a complicated task to make a potato tortilla, and when we arrived we had to take out the garbage that the previous tenants had left in the cube, which was not small.The bathroom looked the same as the north pole, the sofa was dismounted everywhere, hyubo that to put collar collars to sleep on top of two tables.

Very, very low cost

Uncomfortable, uncomfortable and very dirty kitchen, beds if gifted to the army when you're done with the mile, no more to go to family, nothing but to enter you get drunk, the smell of the TV is ridiculous, the sofa bed is dusty, the windows leave the air and the noise in the end I don't want to explay me, I don't recommend a paddy, it's preferable to pay a little more but be on a comfortable holiday.

No repetition or recommendation.

I guess the first mistake we made was not looking at the comments about them and guiding us exclusively by the price. Only to arrive we found that while we were still being called to confirm that we would arrive at about 13.30 and having said that there was no problem entering the apartments, we found the offices closed! And until 5 pm no open. We called the available phones and almost told us that we were inventing it and that they could never have said such a thing. PRIMER CABREO We went to tourism and arrived at 7.00 pm and we also had to have a serious discussion with the receptionist. We said that we would tell ourselves that in 10 minutes there was something wrong in the apartment and that there would be no more trouble in the apartment and that if we had to pay for the last few hours we would not have to leave the cabin.
