An old, charmingly renovated sunny house, very nicely located in the historic center of the city, the room is very nice and the breakfast is great, we stayed one night and everything was perfect, highly recommended. ______________________

Casa solariega with charm

Hotel rural tal cual, infinite friendliness, close treatment. Spacious room in all its ensemble, bright (white sheets) and clean, we were very quiet, Lola (5 years), my wife and me. A hotel with the charm of having been a special and very cared for place nowadays. Wide common areas and a nice patio to drink the coffee they make available to the guests. A strong and rich breakfast, totally recommended. Thanks to Tamara and her father.

 Hotel rural with enchantment

It is a pleasure to meet kind people like José Manuel, owner of El Zaguán! ready to help in everything and opening the doors of his house so that you feel like yours. The simple, very clean and charming accommodation. If we had to return to Lerma, the area of Arlanza or Burgos (only 25 minutes by car), we would stay here again without hesitation.

What a special little hotel this is.  It is pet friendly.   We were travelling with a newly adopted dog and didn't want to leave her in the room by herself.    We couldn't find anywhere that would accept a dog in any eating establishment in Lerma and we returned from our walk around Lerma feeling rather sad and hungry.   We managed to communicate with the owner and he was so kind and understanding.   The owner set us a table in the breakfast area, where our new friend could sit quietly under the table during the meal. .    The hotel had a large group visiting and the kitchen was cooking a meal for the group.    We ate what was available and it was probably the best food we have eaten in our three month stay in Spain, including a range of regional specialities.  The owner's son is the chef and he should be very proud of the food her served.   

I cannot thank them enough for their kindness, hospitality and friendship.     

The breakfast was plentiful and delicious and the room was comfortable.   The hotel has genuine historical features but coupled with contemporary twist.

This hotel is a gem.    It's in a lovely location, a short distance from secure underground parking.    Lerma is beautiful.

This hotel is a gem

We spent two nights at the house of José Manuel, my sisters and myself with our husbands and my nephew Martín. It is the third time he has welcomed us and always with a wide and sincere smile. The rooms are beautiful, clean and with what is needed for a weekend. The breakfast is spectacular, in abundance, there is nothing missing and the opportunity to repeat it. José Manuel meets his guests at the hotel and treats them with closeness and familiarity. The hotel is very well located, near the monumental part of Lerma.

We feel at home.

The hotel has 10 rooms, we've booked 8 and it's been like staying at home.The owner's confidence, kindness and familiarity have been absolute.The room, El Nido, is spacious, comfortable and, above all, clean.Breakfast, for 6€, served at the table, with nothing to envy the best buffets of other more expensive hotels.

The best way to get to know Lerma

The owner is a lovely person who cares about his business and the well-being of his customers. The hotel is a rural hotel with a lot of charm and all kinds of details. The cleaning service of 10! Nice to enter a place that smells good and makes you feel at home. We went to spend a night but we repeat and will repeat safely. Site totally recommended but leave us a room available, please 🙏. The breakfast, in line with the rest: orange juice, coffee with milk, jam, butter, pasta delicious and the best, ecological fried chicken eggs, freshly baked serrano jam, cheesecake, freshly toasted area, tomatoes, fruit, etc... Do not change me!

The hotel is very conveniently located so that you can visit the historic town by walking.We liked the decoration and the breakfast (toastadas de pan de pueblo, fruit, homemade cookies, cecina, jam...) Jose very friendly and close at all times.

We stayed 3 couples on Friday night and when we booked we considered the possibility that even if they didn't have a restaurant, they could prepare the dinner for us, which after a day of travel would be the most convenient, which is our surprise when the owner when we arrive tells us that we are not committed to the dinner for which we are charged 30 euros per person, that if we want to have dinner there, to the almost let us do you a favor textual words of this gentleman, marching to dinner at the Plaza del Pueblo where by the way for half the price.

We stayed at this hotel on 27th february for one night. We were made most welcome by the host. The hotel is stunning with lots of history. We had breakfast the following morning which was amazing fresh tomatoes, eggs and cured ham. Typically Spanish. Lerma itself is stacked with history well worth a visit.
