It's a perfectly recommended place to stay if you want something economical, clean and central, perpendicular to La Gran Vía near Callao).

Hostel very central and very clean.

We booked 20 days in advance for a double room with additional bed (one available for two people). We are welcomed by the owner in the cabin. Small hallway with rooms on the sides. Room of just 9mq (15 declared on the site) including the bathroom with only two single beds: The lady told us that she had no double room or double room available on request and made available to us a room of a total of 9mq including the bathroom (measure 4mtx2,20mt) within which was the bathroom of 1.70mtx0,90.

Just a good location.

Too noisy. The location is perfect, yes. The finish is very attentive. The bathroom is quite small although clean. The bed is generally good although the pillows and bedding need an urgent change.

We stayed in 2 in this Hostal which is 2 minutes walk from the Grand Via for 4 nights. The owner Fina was very available and already on our arrival gave us advice about the city. The room was very small without a dressing room and with a mini table on the opposite side of the bed. A very small bathroom but with the minimum indispensable. The first night we could not sleep from the noise due to people entering and leaving at any time (we had the room attached to the entrance and overlooking the inner courtyard) while from the second day we solved with the lids. Walls and doors are quite thin so you can hear even when they pull the shower in the next room.

If you have no big demands and for a short stay

A hostel without too many pretenses, without an elevator, but close to the Gran Vía, quiet, with a hostess who lives on the big floor and who shows great empathy with the host.

A small hostel with the necessary amenities.The wifi works well and Fina the owner helps you with what she can.Comfortable and you can eat in the room, it has a small kitchen In the middle of the city.

We've stayed a couple of days in the hostel. If you're interested in being in the center, this is your place. Of course, 100 euros a night, which for a hostel, that's fine. The cleanliness is good and the owner is very nice but it's still a very normal room. Be careful with the heater, the xq doesn't come for two consecutive showers and they won't tell you. Where the shower hangs doesn't work in my room. That's why things should work x 100 euros and if they don't come at a low price. There's a pretty big fridge. There's a small room with a microwave and some cacharro, which I personally wouldn't use, xq gives a little surprise.

The Hostal Florinda, certainly the location (3 minutes from Gran Via) is the strong point of the Hostal in max 15 minutes walk you can reach all points of interest in the center of Madrid, the cleaning is enough, like changing towels every 2 days, but do not expect a reggia, as seen the price of the room and the view of the location is more than good, My judgment is therefore good, as some small disguise of little account has happened, I advise to those who want to spend little, have no huge expectations and want to stay in the heart of Madrid, it is not for those looking for a real hotel

Position of force point

Fina, the proprietor, speaks little to no English and yet managed to scam my friends and I. She claimed that our booking with booking.com was the wrong amount and demanded more money than the listed price because we came with 3 people rather than 2. While you might think an additional person charge might be reasonable, we also witnessed her attempting this scam on a couple who came in after us. 

To make matters worse, the room wasn't cleaned by our check in time and we had to wait an additional hour before we could settle in. Fina even conscripted us in making our own beds. Overall it was horrible, reeked of bleach, and didn't have enough hot water so we ended up taking cold showers. Overall there were no redeeming traits to this experience aside from location, which is actually good. All in all, don't book this hostel.

Horrible scam artist

The hostel is located in a very convenient location (it is at a major road junction), but the street is frequented at all hours of the day and night by prostitutes. The room and bathroom are really too small for three people, the water heater has problems, so after using the hot water you always have to turn the wheel otherwise it makes an incredible noise and loses water, in conclusion considering the price you can find better.
