The hostel is perfect, after being packing Madrid all day, all you need is a hot bath and a good bed to sleep on and recharge batteries for another day, and that's what you have in this hostel.It's very well located, close to everything.The manager, señor Juan, is very kind and helpful.

I consider it to be one of the best hostels in Madrid, a title it achieves for its excellent location. full of great Vía de Madrid and with room with terrace that you open and you meet the great Vía and its spectacular atmosphere.The room itself is simple, the floor sounds a lot... But the location makes you forget those details.

I stayed at the Splendid hostel with my family for three nights and we were delighted. Juan Jesús es todo amabilidad, he was attentive to every detail during our stay. On the day of departure he allowed us to leave the room at 6 pm without charging us anything, which was phenomenal for us as our flight would leave at 9 pm. the room we had had had a large terrace on the Gran Vía, a luxury accommodation in this hostel and a very good price. The building where the hostel is located is an old palace, it seemed that we were in a fairy tale.

Spend a night in the city without wanting to and not wanting to spend much.This hostel is located in an estate where there is plenty of more, on each second floor if I don't count badly.The rooms are in keeping with the price,antiquated with the need for a bit of rehabilitation, especially the bathroom door inside and the mirror but must be realistic these are where you pay what you pay, no more can be asked,The room is clean like a patina and the beds are good,I slept great,so I can't say anything bad.Good place for short budgets or basic needs,so I give it an excellent one.Finally the very fine people who abstain are likely to return.

Excellent price to quality ratio.

It is located in the same Gran Vi, very close to Restaurants and Shops, is decreeto and the price is incredible, is an antique building, no meals included, but the treatment was very cozy.

I stayed with my husband and another couple of friends at this hotel in June 2016. It is located in the central area of Madrid on the Gran Via. We were quite good thanks also for the strategic location in the heart of Madrid.

It is economical!

Hostal is located in the middle of the Gran Vía de Madrid, a perfect enclave for shopping, enjoying theater or musicals, touring and with a wide variety of dining options. Chueca, Sol, Plaza Mayor, Callao... everything is very close by. Metro stop less than a minute away. The hostel is located in an elegant classic style building very typical of the Gran Vía. The portal is very well cared for, has three elevators and an access ramp to avoid the stairs (perfect for walking with suitcases, baby chairs, etc.). It offers 24-hour storage. The area is open all day long, until 10 p.m. The hotel will be open from that point. The hotel will be able to open the door. When the guest room is in a quiet room with a private locking room, the hotel will be locked under the door, but the hotel will be able to handle the security of the room, but the security of the room will be very limited.

The hotel is in the heart of Madrid, near everything, very clean with a private bathroom, the staff is friendly, and we enjoyed a lot to stay there. Before I arrived there, my wife sent a message to the owner, asking questions and he answered quickly. I recommend this Hotel.

Very good place

Madrid is wonderful, I stayed 3 nights in the splendid hostel. Very central on the main road 5 minutes from the sun gate from the subway.
