Went there with a group of 18 teens, and we had a great stay. Self-check-in worked fine, the rooms were good. Nice and clean hostel, very helpful staff. Just a few minutes walk from the store, and from Universeum.

Great hostel for a group tour

Very good hotel for young people.
Its cheap and it has a very nice atmosphere . The location also is very good.The rooms are also very fine if you look at the price for one night.I recomend that hotel

Recomendation

I came to this hostel because I couldn't find anything else in the city. It's great for families, it's very simple but clean and well taken care of. The room had two bedrooms and a bathroom. There is no soap or shampoo, no TV. Good place to sleep at a good price. Breakfast is only available from 8 a.m. It's next to an amusement park and just below there's a supermarket.

Pros

-Amazing location, 2-3 mins tram from pretty much everything. 

-Cheap for Gothenburg, definitely. It's clearly a hostel, room just has 2 beds and nothing else. Not really an issue if you're travelling, it wasnt for us as the room was  clean.
 
-Shared bathroom is lockable and very clean. Same for shower, and we hate shared bathrooms and showers. These ones were very good and clean. 

Cons

-Staff seldom there, but they do say that in advance so that's not too bad.

-Weird middle aged Polish men everywhere! (???????)

-Have to pay for breakfast, sheets etc. But we didn't have any of that and survived fine.

-The oven and stove auto turn off after 10pm and you're not warned! We were 5 mins into cooking dinner and it went off! Sad times :(

Overall simple and effective with a few cons. Would recommend for travellers, couples and solo travellers definitely. Not so much for families.  Would go again.

Would go again. A few issues.

It's easy to get to and has a supermarket right next to it, very convenient. 

However, there's a lot of extra fees not stated beforehand. You have to pay for sheets, and unless you clean your room including vacuuming you have to pay for that as well. 

There's no laundry room and the staff is barely there. 

Will not stay again.

Good location but no service

We came here with 22 teenagers for a day at Liseberg. The rooms were nice and quiet. Breakfast was average and they had an open kitchen area for tea and eating your own food. Would recommend for group travels 

Great for big groups! 

I had already stayed in this hostel in January 2012 and was satisfied with it, so I had no doubts about where to look for accommodation on my return to Gothenburg. When we arrived there were no double rooms available, but the staff at check-in offered us instead a 4-room in-room with bathroom at no additional cost.

Great for cycling

The hostel is close to some attractions. Food shops are nearby. It also has a kitchen that you can use and it is very clean. However, the reception is not long occupied and bedding needs to be rented or brought by yourself. I would come back here.

Good location at a good price

I got a room at a relatively low price, arrived at the hotel and found that the blankets are paid separately and cost 6€ (never happened), for the rest clean rooms, not overly narrow, excellent staff with exceptional knowledge of English, medium-sized common bathrooms and quite clean, wi-fi available in both rooms and common places and most importantly the hostel is full of common areas where you can meet other people.

Acceptable

It's not far from the city centre, and it's convenient to walk to. The budget is also affordable for Gothenburg. There's no staff after lunch, but you can meet a couple of staff in the morning.
