The room was quite clean. The facilities were just as we needed. The breakfast was good - as in what one would normally eat with a Swedish breakfast at home. The decorations were very Swedish (LOVE it!). The atmosphere was very nice - quiet and peaceful though it's located close to Liseberg. The owners were friendly.
My wife and I definitely love this place and really appreciated that we got a room with the twin beds right next to each other. We are definitely going to stay here again when we visit Gothenburg, and we strongly recommend others to do the same.

Peaceful Swedish Atmosphere

Kathe and her husband have this small house perfectly cared for to offer quality accommodation at a reasonable price, 80€ per double room with breakfast included.Central only 10 minutes walk from the Gothia Towers, in a quiet neighborhood.

Surrounded by a beautiful forest and so close to the centre, this B&B is very comfortable, with well-furnished, cozy and clean rooms. The bed is comfortable, the landlords are very kind and breakfast is simple but rich.

So far away, so close!

The hotel room is located in the Liseberg amusement park, very conveniently located to discover the city of Gothenburg, do not hesitate to walk up to the bridge.

This is an evaluation of a Bed and Breakfast, not a Hilton hotel.... The price is pretty good for Gothenburg, and being close to the Amusement park Liseberg is very convenient. The rooms are quite fine for a Bed and Breakfast, you have to share the bathroom with 4 other rooms but it worked fine for us. You can have your Breakfast in a little room/kitchen or you can have it in the closed garden. We had it in the garden and that was very nice. It is not a very large hotel buffet for breakfast, but this is a Bed and Breakfast, so anyway it was quite ok. The orange juice was nice, coffee was great, everything was very fresh. If you want to stay in the middle of the city, this place is not it, BUT if you want to stay in a nice Bed and Breakfast in a quiet little place and still within walking distance of all the fun, THIS is it..... The owners of this place are very nice people :-)

Breakfast in the garden :-)

Very clean rooms/beds/bathroom. Quiet, residential (wooded) neighourhood. Easy access via tram -- maybe 10min ride from the central train station (side note: the city's tram system is EXCELLENT, very easy access to everything/everywhere). Given this B&B's setting, you forget you're in the middle of a city. Beautiful home. Included breakfast was great. Loved this city's energy!

One precaution I would take is to inform the owner, Kathe, of what time you plan on arriving. We didn't (and subsequently, I couldn't find an email from her requesting our arrival time), and although the fine print does state check-in until 1800h, our arrival at 2000h was met by a seemingly disgruntled and unimpressed hostess who had already charged our credit card for our whole stay for our "no show". If we had planned on paying with CC, this wouldn't have been an issue, but we had brought cash to pay for the room charge. Although they had offered a refund on our CC, we would have lost $ on the exchange, leaving us about $50 short over this misunderstanding. I get that she probably gets idiots in there sometimes, but she could have been a bit warmer towards us when we showed up oblivious to the check-in time rule, perhaps reciprocating one of our many smiles. She warmed up to us though, eventually, over the following days and her husband was a nice guy. One positive I would have to say is that her email correspondence/directions (other that the above-mentioned issue) was prompt and quite thorough. I'd stay here again.

A city B&B tucked away in the woods!

Rooms are nice and comfortable; the beds are good and breakfast is correct. The persons there are very friendly and you can discuss with them or ask for a recommendation. It is true that with the window open we have the noise of the E6 (only the noise, we cannot see it) but for the rest it is a quiet place at a walking distance from city centre or tram stations

I had a good stay there

For third year in a row we stayed at Villa Balder during "Göteborgsvarvet" (half marathon race). This year we were a group of nine people (including two small children) and for us everything is just perfect. It´s close to the city, Liseberg and in a very cosy area (Örgryte).
The owners are very kind and helpful and although we changed our rooms over and over again in order to fit our needs there were never any problems.

The parklike small forest next to the house is just wonderful for a morning walk. I moved from Gothenburg about three years ago and this area always brings back and shows the best of the city, in my opinion.

Our kids just loved the family room on the ground floor and it was just perfect for us.

I can just strongly recommend it.
