Great Location with nice Staff which helped me with some good trip ideas. It’s located close to the piazza granda and is surrounded by many cute stores. Really enjoyed the common area. Breakfast provided everything i needed. Can‘t wait to return here soon again.

Great Location in the center of locarno

The location is perfect and we were received very kindly. The room was clean and there was enough room for one night. The breakfast was everything that the heart desired and everyone was very nice and friendly. We can continue to recommend the Vecchia Locarno anytime, whether as a family, solo traveler or couple.

Located in the center of the city, just a few steps from the Piazza Grande in the beautiful old town. In the small streets there are some shops and restaurants. Beautiful and clean rooms. A clear courtyard for breakfast or a break during the day. Thank you to Alessandra for the friendly and pleasant service.

A small, friendly hotel very centrally located

We spent a few days in this great hotel. The rooms are very nicely decorated and clean. The toilets and showers are in the hallway. The breakfast is fresh and versatile. In addition to the interior, you can also have it outside in a beautiful courtyard. The hotel is run by wonderful ladies, who will welcome you very familiarly. The hotel is only a few minutes' walk from Piazza Grande and is surrounded by many restaurants. Nevertheless, it is very quiet. Absolutely recommended for young and older couples, but also families!

It's a wonderful family hotel.

In the centre of Locarno, in the old and beautiful part of this lake-facing town, the structure has remained like the old Lodges of old times, with a nice inner courtyard and with so much kindness and availability of people who take care of every aspect. If you love simplicity and appreciate rooms without modern comforts but that can take you back in time... do not hesitate, this hotel is perfect! Breakfast very appreciated...

A Dive into the Past

Very well located, clean, nice, simple breakfast for 5, nice rooms with shared bathroom on the ground floor. On arrival we also received tickets to use public transport. Good price/quality ratio, nothing to say! I recommend it!

That's a good plan.

This hostel is located in the old town of Locarno, in the middle of a quiet pedestrian area. It is two steps away from the main square. The room was quite small, there is little space around the bed with the sink, shelf, small table and side radiator. The bed is comfortable, the view is good and there is a very nice indoor courtyard for hot days. The staff is smiling and pleasant. Most rooms have toilets and showers (separated by a curtain) in common but it is not inconvenient. The shower that is not offers different bread and coffee with butter, honey, jam and cheese as well as cereals. Very nice for the time asked. In the neighborhood of the hotel is a very nice place for lunch. But I hear that the whole room should be made with the same size and shower price.

A small, personal hotel, a good price for a night in Locarno, very quick response to mail, easy, many regular guests, a small breakfast for an extra CHF 5, it's worth it, and in summer with the courtyard, it's certainly wonderful.

I was in Locarno in July and loved the location of the hotel and the incredibly cozy, wonderfully designed rooms. I felt comfortable and it was a wonderful stay. I didn't have breakfast. I stayed twice in the Vecchia. The first time I had a window to the Grande Piazza. The view was great and the courtyard was incredibly sweet. The second time in the courtyard. A look in the courtyard immediately conveyed a holiday spirit. Unfortunately, I had to draw a point, as I moved the room to the courtyard very early in the morning. Every staff room was moved to the courtyard very early at 5:30 am.
