All reviews before December 2023 are no longer relevant, as new owners!!! No smoking smell, no unfriendly ladies, no looted breakfast buffet. Top hotel with great team and very good breakfast. We're happy to come back! Only the parking situation could be more optimal.

Old house in the centre of Samedan, a short walk from the station, easily accessible both by car and on foot. Recently renovated rooms, simple but cozy and very clean. The staff's hospitality exemplifies high-level warmth and availability, excellent breakfast, products both sweet and salty, served in a very nice, completely wooden venue that gives a pleasant atmosphere.

A pleasant discovery

It's rather a simple hotel with staff who don't speak German. It's actually nice renovated rooms, but everything else is largely neglected. It also seems to be a smoking hotel. The breakfast buffet could certainly be optimized a bit more. It's really amazing that the staff strictly rejects the current Covid measures (certification obligation). This seems unacceptable to us.

For one or two nights I.O.

Booking and reception are impeccable. The rooms are beautiful, rustic-new. Clean. I really liked the character of the hotel. The breakfast is delicious. Only the pricing policy is strange: we were three, but we had to pay for four, including breakfast, there is only a double room.

Almost perfect

This hotel is probably the only place in Switzerland where smoking is allowed without pre-warning future guests. The hotel is quiet and the price is lower than in similar places. However, the smell of cigarette smoke is very intense and ever present (even in the sheets). No WiFi. Staff only gave us the keys, no explanation about breakfast or surroundings. To reach the rooms you have to drag your bag up two steep flight of stairs. Poor client service to say the least. I would not recommend this hotel for obvious reasons.

When the phone asked for the room, I was asked to write an e-mail, which I did immediately. When no response came and I called again the next day, I was told briefly and relatively unkindly that he would answer it that evening. After that didn't happen, and I called again the next morning, the phone hung up after I signed up... then I found a hotel nearby where I was treated very kindly and it looks much nicer anyway.

It didn 't even come to stay.

Lucky we only had one night. the room was ok, it should be cleaner.. also the bathroom was ok. the breakfast was ok as well nothing special for the price. 
I wouldn't recommend it. it could / would be a great location if they would clean / do a renovation.

B&B is ok

This small hostel if you are in the center of the village of sand in is made up of the meeting of three old houses we had a room on the second floor which is 46 steps up from the street. Small comfortable room with a tiny window overlooking another old building opposite. comfortable bed, tiny but well equipped bathroom. We took the half board at 30 Fr.

Family hostel

We were at the White Cross in Samedan on a Saturday morning, and it was a big hunger, and many restaurants were closed at the time, and we were startled at the first moment by the smell and appearance of the food. We were still eating something small because of the decency.
