Great place, friendly staff. I stayed here almost a month and felt at home.

10-15 minute walk from lots of great food options, and less than 5 minute walk to two wonderful gyms. Very short Grab ride to Maya Mall.

The room is a little dark but it's very clean and high quality for the price.

Great deal

We only need a room with air-conditioning for sleeping around 6-8 hour's and clean bathroom for shower, that's all.  Okay, there's some unpleasant things from the room, broken hanger, noisy aircond fan, but for the price that we're paying for, it is reasonable. Don't give so much complaints, you're not paying for an awesome 5 star room, and get less. You get what you are paying for.

Room not well maintain, room smell weird, No Hair Dryer, 20 baht for additional towel, requested 300 baht for deposit, far from markets, Not so good for people without their own transportation as it seems to be in a very unpopulated block, with a field on one side and small shops on the other. room is dark, staff poor english, not recommended.

Room not well maintain

The room did not remind us of the photos very well. It was dark and dingy. Much more of a motel by the highway feel. The front desk doesn't speak much English and our aircon dripped all night.They have many signs everywhere reminding you how much you will pay if something is broken or damaged, which made it a bit hostile and unwelcoming.

But the room is big and the shower water is hot, and the bed relatively comfortable. Wifi worked great in our 4th floor room.

Awkward location, dark room

SGH is an arty sophisticated more-than-guesthouse with very tasteful bedrooms all really nice and several of which could be called luxurious.
There are common areas including one with a charming teak floored lounge and kitchen and fridge for self-fooding.
Noland is the perfect host and the nicest guy you could imagine.
The place is definitely gay friendly but straights like me also frequent it and the great restaurant with no awkward feeling not in the least......it's about 50-50 mix.
All in all highly recommended.

A Haven of Peace in a lively area close to the central moat and old city.

Large room, recommend for those who drive only because located in the soi
easy to access highway and Santitham area kind of local areas 
The rate was very cheap approx 15usd per night only suggested for budget travelers

Large room

I stayed 3 nights there.
Most of guests are Thaï people, so that's probably the reason why there is no breakfast.
But I found a very good coffee shop on the same street around (35 Thb very cheap black hot coffee ! ).
International TV programs and good zircon. 
WiFi is very poor. 

Not good wifi

I am fine with the location. It's walkable to most anything I need: local food, Maya mall, Nimmon, and 20 min walk to the old city. But everything else about the place is horrible.  I stayed a little over 2 weeks because I booked in advanced. I've been in some bad places, so I figured I could deal with this. Bad idea! Room is a narrow concrete cell with one window in the back the size of my head and two very dim lights. No natural light, poor drainage in the shower, and you can hear the toilet bubble up at night. The back of the room has black and white mold growing as well. 

Also, I can hear everything from ALL the adjacent rooms. Even the bar across the street is loud but only until midnight. The worse is that the travelers treat the place more like a hostel than a hotel. Loud Loud Loud with drunk Thais returning from the bars. I think this has a lot to do with how cheap it is. I guess you get what you pay for. 

My advice, don't be this cheap. Go to a better place.

fine location, terrible everything else

Had to leave the house for a night beause of a super noisy celebration at the local temple so came down those this hotel ... A bit hard to get to because of the one way roads, but it was in a quiet location, a plus in itself.
The room was very basic, but the bed was good , the aircon cool, and the shower was fine..
200 baht key deposit, you're not told that until you check in.
Not far from Super Highway, but on the north side, best advise is to turn left and head up Chotana road, if you take the slip road, it's one way and the soi is easy to miss then you're going to have a hard time turning around...
Not a good location for the city but worked fine for us ..

Quiet location, good for a decent sleep

This hotel offers clean & reasonably comfortable rooms at a good price. It has no restaurant, though,  does not even serve breakfast, and there aren't many places close by that do.  It is a tuk-tuk or taxi ride from most places you would want to visit,  but don't expect any to be passing by on the side street where the hotel is located. You will have to rely one of the few and generally unhelpful staff members to call a taxi for you.
