We stayed here for one night after we decided to visit Kusadasi last minute. We booked it through booking.com and i think its one of cheapest hotels i found that time. As we paying less, my expectation is also very less. We were not disappointed even if they do not have twin bed and gave us one blanket. The room is not fancy at all but we were able to get decent sleep. It was clean and tidy and the washroom was not bad. There's a small terrace in our room though the view is not that good, it was great to breath fresh air. The outdoor pool is small but cozy.
Though the location is a bit far from the central, it is still accessible by the public mini shuttle number 5 that will bring and take you anywhere. If you are okay with a long walk, it is very ideal and close to the ladies beach.
What made me happy to stay here is the attitude of the people managing and taking care of the property. The owner as well as his assistant were bery friendly and welcoming. They were very helpful as well. His son greeted us the following morning with sweet smile and provided us thoughtful touch by preparing me a coffee. He was so kind enough as well to help us contact the travel agency for our tour that day. Thank you so much for the lovely stay.
Lastly, do not forget to bring an adaptor if your plug is not the same as theirs.

You will get what you pay

Selay Hotel is a small family run hotel situated 10 minutes walking from the beach. It has all the basics you need. The rooms are old but clean. The pool is really nice and the staff is amazing. They're all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and it was ok - had worse in other places! All the others writing negatively about this hotel I want to ask: What do you expect when you find a place this cheap? It's a great option for budget travellers and I would come back again!

Great value for money

We came to this hotel, visiting Kushadas - one of the best resorts in the Aegean Sea. We stayed at this hotel because of its tiny price. The room was cheaper for us at the price of the hostel. When we arrived in the room we were waiting for a bottle of good local wine. The hotel administrator - a very friendly man helped with the accommodation. Breakfast is very scarce. For foreigners in this hotel we are not used to - the service is exclusively Turkish. In the two hotels there is a swimming pool, but it is dirty. It is not close to the sea. You can't try dinner at the hotel. There is no transportation near the hotel - only taxi.

Cheap hotel on a good resort

It's a cheap hotel 10 minutes walking from the beach. The staff is very friendly but the breakfast not so good. Dinner though was amazing, very good fish and cheap. The bed and the shower are not so good but they're worth the money you pay. The pool is amazing. It's an excellent option for budget travellers.

Good value for money

i am not such a big snob so anything clean will do for me. i must admit that when we arrived in the evening i was totally disappointed but after staying the first night we realised that we didn't need to much things. Agreed there are a lot of minuses for this hotel ( no view, far from everything, rooms do look like 2 stars, shower head only dripped water etc) but also some things that we did like : no one bothered you, hotel owner was very helpful, didn't eat anything except breakfast which was not  extraordinary but filled our stomachs (some of the guests ordered dinner as well and it looked and smelled great) pool was clean, prices for the bar where cheap.
i recommend this if you are on a very very tight budget and you only use your hotel to sleep and shower.

Cheap hotel but helpfull staff

I've faced an act of theft there: I left my luggage in a staff's room, when I went for a tour to Efesus, but after that I've found some of my clothes missed. Thanks God I've taken all valuables with me.
If you are still wishing to stay there, I got some other arguments: the hotel is situated just close to a very nosy road - it's very hard to sleep. All furniture and electronic devices are outdated and some of them are not working: just imagine you in a room with a i

DON'T EVER WISH TO STAY HERE!

Bad meeting: the owner of the pseudo-hotel... for a moment we felt physically threatened by the owner, when we questioned the willingness to stay in that clutter... fatiguing rooms, bad smells, bedding, underwear alias dirty or coloring, bathroom in tune with the room... breakfast: the worst we found along with flies, the unknowing and improvisation! attention... to avoid.

As soon as we arrived at this hotel we were immediately assaulted by a violent demand to pay in advance.The rooms are dirty with fatiguing furniture.The breakfast in the morning is really low with flies everywhere, the staff seems absent and inexpressive.The mattresses are inadequate and the shower we had to hold by hand.The cleaning of the breakfast tables, was done with a dirty handkerchief.
