We stayed here in the Tribeca early November. Despite terrible weather we had a fantastic family break.
The complex is brilliantly managed, spotless and welcoming. Staff could not be more helpful.
Our accommodation was terrific lovely living area, well equipped and maintained kitchen, TV better than ours at home. Plenty of storage throughout.
Good shower room, we had a free standing bath in the main bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Could not ask for more.
Highly recommended.

Tremendous

Quiet site which was fine for us but still really needs a bigger shop and facilities.Having stayed at other Away Resorts ( Tattershall Lakes) we were suprised at the huge difference with regard to facilities.Also there really were no views to speak of from caravans, just other vans or the road! Biggest annoyance though was despite reporting that radiators weren't working in all the rooms this didn't get sorted- no-one came to investigate and as the last 2 nights of our stay were very cold it was an issue.
Also totally agree with another review that hooks are desperately needed in the van ( luxury).Difficult to put towels & clothes anywhere in a confinef shower area,and nowhere to hang wet coats.Hooks in corridor would be good !

Nice setting but basic site

We stayed in the heartwood and it was stunning, it was so comfy and the little welcome goodies and stuff for our dog was a nice touch. The only downside I found was that there was no hooks in bedrooms or bathroom to hang towels or dressing gown but apart from that the accommodation was perfect. The site is so quiet which we loved but went to muddy duck but they had no milk for hot drinks and I know this place has no entertainment but it really could do with a restaurant you would make so much money if you did. 

Perfect quiet holiday

We Arrived at 1.00pm, we knew we were early, but was going to local for lunch, was told they would ring us when caravan ready! at 4pm it was still not ready and quite happy to wait. The receptionist came down to the bar with keys at about 4.30ish.
When entering  the caravan 5 The  Elms, we could see it was filthy! grass and mud on draining board, coffee stains on dining room table, dirty cup rings on coffee table, shattered broken glass on decking, fridge door not shutting so all frozen up, , it has the long built in settee all round one side, which I never book because of my husbands back issues! also when he sat on the settee the board underneath went straight through, it’s lucky he didn’t seriously hurt his back!! And I do not agree it was a de-luxe caravan. On complaining the 2 receptionists were very sympathetic, they looked with the accommodations manager and found us another caravan, which they cleaned up and made within about 20/30 minutes, 30 The Orchard, this was still not a patch on what we had stayed in before, and needed a good clean through, but we accepted it.  Also the mattress had no mattress cover on it and was obviously brand new! It won’t take long for that to be ruined by people!!  Also 2 days later on emptying the bin off it’s black bag, the actual bin will filthy and had mould growing in it! How could that be missed?
We had booked this holiday months ago, but because of serious illness with myself we were unable to come before and we didn’t need all the stress we got when we arrived.
We have stayed their several times and it has been great, but the cleanliness of the caravans have gone down, even the bar area looked dirty! When we were in the bar  having asked if there were other flavoured crisps apart from prawn cocktail, was told oh yeah there are some out the back, but hadn’t bothered to stock up!! Great staff, she did then go and get other flavours, which there was plenty!! We also had an issue about dishwasher tablets as the caravan we were put in had a dishwasher, but managed to get some from reception after a bit of discussion! I wasn’t going to buy a box for a week!, especially as we were told over the phone you supply Dishwasher tablets if their is one in the caravan! Reception said “well if it so much an issue we will give you some”

Dirty/Unclean Caravan, after waiting over the stated check in time for it to be cleaned?

We had a lovely holiday at way Resorts in Mersea as always. We go at least twice a year. The staff and so friendly and accommodating, the caravans are very clean and stocked with all the necessary items. Can’t wait for our holiday there….



Away Resorts Mersea

We chose this park as it was not to far and dog friendly and also fab deal got there and saw a bag on one of the chairs and thought that it was left behind by the previous visitors but to my surprise it was a lovely gift bag for our one year old cockapoo. He loved it toy blanket water bowl chews wow how lovely of them to do something like that never been anywhere that is that thoughtful.we had the best time place was pristine only one light cover left on kitchen table but hey ho comfortable beds lovely heating spacious calm dog loved it we loved it thank u so much for our lovely accommodation for the weekend

Loved it

Arrival time was 4pm to book in to find out they close at 4pm bit odd. Arrived at caravan to find central heating wasn't working (found out later they knew there was a problem with it)  why put us in it!! Had to call out of hours guy who fixed it for a few hours but woke up early freezing!
Someone else's dvd was stuck in the player
Grill rack, grill pan, chopping board missing.
They came out a few times to try and fix the heating which did manage to keep going till we left.
The mattress was down to the boards but couldn't get another to replace it but managed to put duvets over the top to pad the springs out.
I will say the staff were great and tried their best but this was not away resorts proudest moment. Apart from all the problems the van was spotless and the lounge area was very comfortable. The park was quiet with nothing open while we were there but that suits us.
Just a bit disappointed this time we've been several times before and never had any problems but the caravan this time had too many problems. 

Dissapointing this time

This Review is purely based on the accomodation and not the park as we have been here numourous times before and love it!

We booked the Oyster cottage for a couple of weeks in our off season get away having had a look around the previous year. Our stay exceeded all expectations especially the privacy given for the hot tub (yes there was a hot tub!) Everything from the crockery to the oven and dishwasher were of high standard and quality - you reall felt like you were looked after. Only gripe was the oven had so many different settings it could have done with a handbook/manual.

Upon arrival we were given a welcome pack which included a bottle of prosecco. The cottage was imaculate and well laid out and well designed. 

Would Highly recommend and happily stay again!

Mersea Island Holiday Park and the Island is a quiet and relaxing retreat which suits us down to the ground.

Another Great stay this time in Oyster Cottage

Stayed in the luxury caravan for a long weekend. Brought the dog and had some lovely winter walks along the beach and at Cudmore. The accommodation was clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Our dog loved the doggie pack. Will definitely visit again, thank you.

Quiet weekend break

Had a great time with family and dogs, very relaxing. The caravan was immaculate and site throughout, was very impressed was my first time staying in one! Could not believe how much space we had three bedrooms one with en-suite. All essentials you need to cook.Staff were very friendly and helpful. I left my portable speaker behind, I gave them a call and they said they would post it to me free of charge.We definitely be returning. Thank you for a lovely time  !!
