This is difficult as I don't want to encourage others to go here and find it's fully booked when I want to.
It was excellent.  Very clean and friendly.
We've found our new place to break up the journey to the Highlands. 
Facilities were excellent, price very fair and breakfast included

Excellent friendly accommodation 

Food was excellent every morning, rooms/facilities were kept thoroughly clean and customer service was brilliant, the best I've experienced. The staff made me feel very welcome and I will definitely be staying here again when I'm in the area.

We have travelled and stayed, in Scotland, numerous times, every year, for 28 years. Won’t want to stay anywhere else when in Dumfries and Galloway. A gem of a guesthouse.

A gem, of a guest house.

The room was exceptionally clean with a very large comfortable bed.  It was very quiet and peaceful with fields at the rear of the property.  The bathroom was fairly large with a bath and a powerful power shower.  The hot water was always hot.
The room had a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities.  A guest kitchen was also available if you needed it.  There was also more milk and tea/coffee sachets if needed.
The breakfast was superb with the sausage being especially tasty.
The host Ewan was pleasant and helpful throughout our visit.

There was little that we could fault.
The rooms are on the first floor and some guests may find the stairs difficult to climb.
The Wi-Fi occasionally cut out but resumed again fairly soon.

Fabulous B&B set in the countryside outside Dumfries.

Wonderful ensuite rooms with comfy beds and great bathrooms.  Rooms are very clean and Ewan is very welcoming.

Breakfast is excellent.

My partner and I stayed at Southpark Guest House for 2 nights in early April this year and would happily return. Ewan, the host, was very welcoming and remained attentive throughout the duration of our stay and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was made from the highest quality ingredients and was enjoyed whilst taking in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. In our room, we were treated to a selection of hot drinks, biscuits and flavoured water and in the bathroom, cotton buds and talcum powder. We had two very restful night's sleep in a well-appointed room and even had the use of the communal kitchen. Next time we will stay for longer. Highly recommended!

Restful Stay with Great Views!

Very last minute booking but Ewan was extremely helpful and nothing was too much bother. The room was well appointed, bed very comfortable and everything I might need was available. Breakfast was cooked to order and again excellent quality. Could not find fault with this little gem

Excellent stay

Booked the same day for a work related overnight stay - very pleased to have found Southpark as it is quite simply a cut above the rest and superb value too.
Southpark’s guest facilities are well  appointed presented to a very high decorative standard and are
spotlessly clean. I only needed a single room with a desk for office work and was delighted with a snug and cosy room which Ewan suggested. It had an uber comfy bed, desk and en-suite shower room. Great tea/coffee tray with bottles of normal and flavoured waters. 
Breakfast is ordered using a menu slip left in reception the night before with a good choice of options. The porridge was excellent and a very generous portion and my breakfast order was excellent, straight out of the pan and piping hot. I liked the tea in a thermos jug delivered to the table - a nice touch over self service offerings in other large named hotels. All enjoyed over commanding views from the Conservatory over the Dumfriesshire Dales.
All great - but what sets Southpark above the rest is the amazing customer care and hospitality of Ewan. From his first welcome at the door to showing me to my room (quality service approach few places do nowadays) he showed me the guest kitchen and explained everything I needed to know about ordering breakfast etc before leaving to get me settled. He provided his characteristic warm welcome at breakfast and ensured my every need was catered for. But the mark of his exemplary hospitality approach to serving his guests was following me out on a freezing morning to my car with a jug of hot water to help defrost my windows - wow talk about anticipating guest needs and going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service! 
Thank you Ewan, I will definitely be returning and will text as advised rather then my ‘old
school’ telephone booking!

Top quality accommodation and exemplary hospitality

I stayed here with my fiance friday - monday and it was amazing the owner was very welcoming and friendly he couldn't do enough for us the breakfast came out hot and you didn't need to wait long either the room was beautiful and the bed was big and comfy the views where gorgeous I will definitely be recommending this hotel to everyone if you don't want to stay in your room all the time you even have your own lounge with a television, books and games
