Simlpy Lovely

The hosts are very friendly. They live in the same house, but you feel so at home. We had the yellow room which was spacious and lovely. The beds where comfy and the street was quiet.

Joi's home made müsli was to die for. We really loved the breakfast! One day we had to leave at seven because we where going on a bus tour and told her she didn’t have to makes us breakfast. But then she offered to pack a bag with breakfast for us. We felt very well taken care of. 

We walked downtown most days, which wasn’t too far. I think it took us like 15-20 mins. But there are lots of buses just few minutes from the house if you don’t feel like walking. 

I would definitely want to stay here again if I go back to Edinburgh, and would recommend Winter Cherry bed and breakfast to anyone that’s not in Edinburgh to party but looking for a lovely and peaceful place to stay.

We really felt at home and well taken care of

We booked this as we were going to Edinburgh zoo and had already stayed in Edinburgh. Given Leith's history we fancied staying there. Built in the 1820s this bed and breakfast is a gem. Our hosts were warm and friendly, happy to give us advice on bus routes and where to eat. The room was large and nice and warm. Although there are no TVs in the room.this in fact was a welcome change but if your a late night TV watcher bring a tablet to watch or enjoy one of the tin tin books you can borrow as well as many other books. Breakfast isn't your standard fry up though there are places near by you can get these. Instead you have home made museli, smoothies made fresh and toast as well are fruit and other bits. 
          They are located near the border between Leith and Edinburgh so a four pound all day bus pass gets you all over. 
Will definitely be back. 

Warm and welcoming

Very quiet and easy to get to this family-run B&B. Comfortable in the furnishing and accommodation of the rooms. The availability of the owner, who prepares breakfast personally (to try her muesli), is truly exceptional. It is easily reached with a few bus stops from the centre and about 150 metres on foot. Absolute tranquility and comfort of the rooms. Absolutely recommended for those looking for a relaxing holiday in the beautiful Edinburgh

Comfortable and quiet

My husband and I spent 9 nights at Winter Cherry in June.  We had the front bedroom with twin beds.  Beds were so comfortable and the room was huge and comfortable.  It had a large bathroom with a tub/shower.  Everything was kept spotless.  I cannot say enough good things about our hosts.  Kind, thoughtful and caring.  Breakfast was always a treat - I fell in love with the smoothies and muesli.  The bus stop is practically outside the door on a quiet street.  The house is beautiful.  We would definitely stay here again.

Home away from Home

This was the first place we stayed on our trip. Such a great introduction to Scotland!!! Joni and her husband we so welcoming to us and we even got to meet their dog!! We knew immediately this was the perfect place for us. The room was absolutely adorable and comfortable with a great view of the area. The B&B  has everything we needed. 

The property was close to Leith Walk which made picking up groceries, grabbing cash, eating at so many different places and having a pint. Perfect location. 

I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

Highly Recommended

Our stay in that B&B was probably one of the best in Scotland. The B&B is central without a car but in a really quiet street. The hosts are so friendly, breakfast was so good. The room was cozy and warm.

Perfect Stay!

I went with a friend and we shared a room, never thought I'd find something so wonderful, pulcurous, comfortable, with good eyesight, attention and even the breakfast prepared by Joi la duela del Hostal and the good disposition of the whole family to give us an excellent stay.

Like at home.

Finally a real bed and breakfast! this beautiful house with high ceilings, the ideal proportions for each room is a little decentralized 15 minutes walk from the center and count the same time to get to the port. The host and availability of the owner is ideal, the walls are decorated with paintings that are related to the family history, we enter into some privacy. The rooms are spacious as well as the bathrooms, our room being located on the floor. We were lucky to have a room on the floor which guaranteed you silence. The bedding is excellent. The small lunch is made up of cakes, yogurt, fruit-and-fruit... Cerise on the cake, the French homeowner talks about the quality of the cake, and you've got to make the best of it...

A real bed and breakfast

Very friendly home from the owners, madame speaks French, a lovely couple. We were well settled in a small room in the back, no noise. The bathroom was on the floor, it is not inconvenient. Breakfast (cold) very well supplied, cereals, toasts, yogurts, smoothies, juices, pasta and jams, everything is homemade. The house is located 20 minutes walk from the centre of Edinburgh, so it is very convenient too. Restaurants nearby (10 minutes walk)
