We stayed on the campsite and enjoyed it very much. 

Landlady and staff were very friendly and helpful. 

You can walk into Tewkesbury across the fields (45 minutes) path a little bit overgrown in places, but a nice walk.

The Inn is very nice, food was tasty, good range of beer and ale, not a bad price, faggots good quality and huge, lasagne and ribs were lovely too.

Very dog friendly. 

Toilets behind pub were always clean, shower hot.

We will be visiting again.

Happy, pleasant place to be.

A very unique pub.  Really friendly and carvery had plenty of veg.  Everyone seemed to know each other so a good ambience.  Not fine dining but reasonably priced.  Tables outside and plenty of grassy banks for dogs.  We had a real feast and there were lots of campers eating too.

A unique experience

We had a great afternoon, with stunning river views, very relaxing. We were not going to stop for food but in the event glad we did as all courses were hot and wholesome, very impressed. Location has a great camp site next door and everything was quiet and relaxed. 

Beautiful location 

The location of this place is near to Fort Hampton.
The staff were very friendly and helpful all the time.

The food and service was excellent as the food arrived on time and everything was perfect.
The price of the menu was good value for money.
We will always be coming back here with our friends.

We went there to eat lunch on the Sunday with our friends who came to visit us.

This pub at the Lower Lode Inn is very dog friendly.

I would highly recommend this place to people who love eating Sunday roasts and other things from the menu.

Amazing food and service!

We’d been to Tewkesbury and had visited Lower Lode a few years ago before the pandemic so decided to pop in. It turned out they had “Lodefest” on so we decided to pay for tickets. We had a lovely afternoon, it’s a beautiful spot there, it was well organised  and we had a couple of drinks and a basket meal, which was really good and great value. Such a lovely vibe there, can’t say all the performances were to our taste ( the penultimate group seemed to have some great musicians and a front man who could shout!!)  but it didn’t spoil the overall enjoyment. It was also to support Children’s cancer charity. Well done

Great pub and area

Visited first time today  .and ordered food.after 35 minutes wait.politley asked the bar staff about food.to be told was already brought out and given to me. I obviously didn't receive the food.bar person was adamant I had been given .After about 10 minutes. Was told has a gesture of good will .they would give me again..they  made it feel like I was lying. Clearly had been given to the wrong  person. Very rude staff.wont use again.

Abrupt and Rude staff

Attended my sisters wedding at Lower Lode, this beautiful location next to the river was fabulous. The staff were exceptional and so supportive. I would not hesitate to recommend.  Many of the guests used the camping facilities others staying in the hotel accommodation.

Wedding

Just had our wedding here last weekend 
We had the ceremony in the function room and a marquee and top hats on the lawn.  We had the camping field too.  Just absolutely WOW Sam and the team worked so hard.  Thank you all for making our wedding perfect

Our Stunning Wedding Venue

Just back from celebrating a wedding weekend, absolutely perfect! From the beautiful location on the riverside ,the marriage ceremony in the pretty flower decked hall, to the amazing buffet spread, the fantastic service throughout by the freindly efficient staff and the lovely large airy comfortable clean double room finished off with an amazing full English breakfast in the morning. Can not recommend this place,staff,food,ales,accommodation highly enough...thank you for the great stay.

Wedding weekend

The room was tidy , clean and welcoming , Sam was a great hostess and the staff were very helpful & helpful . The food was lovely and the carvery was amazing , great value for the money , would recommend you go there
