EGGS annual night out - looked after so well, welcoming, friendly and attentive staff.  Lovely, varied menu. Delicious hot meal on piping hot plates. Nothing was any trouble. Thank you, Craig, Anna and all the staff. First class experience and I'm sure we'll be back.

Popped in for lunch. We were moved to another table so they could accommodate other guests. Bit cold, even though they could have built a fire in the fireplace. Food was above average. However, the barman is objectionable and rude. We won’t be going back again. It’s not a very welcoming place, such a shame in the middle of a lovely wee town.

Terrific tapas menu available here. Fantastic range of dishes. The quality and freshness of every dish was excellent and the service first class, Very friendly and attentive. Couldn't fault a thing and we'll definitely be back.

One dozen of us stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after completing an 11 mile hill walk. Since the bar area was occupied, we sat ourselves at tables in the main room; seating there was sized for about 20 people. Table service arrived within 5-10 minutes, we each ordered drinks, and just a few minutes later we were rehydrating after the walk. Nice friendly atmosphere for a small town pub. A pint of Tennent's Lager was priced at £4.00.

Lunch with mum. A lovely experience. 
Lovely bubbly friendly waitresses who were rushed off their feet as it was very busy but they tended to every need. Nicely decorated and very clean toilets which I always like to see.
The tapas were really nice and fresh.
The hummus trio was lovely and fresh. Caprese lovely mozzarella but would’ve preferred basil with it instead of rocket. Nice prawns if small more chillis would better. Lovely potato bravas nice and spicy.. the bread was really good. Mussels were out favourite I could’ve eaten a huge bowl of them so tasty. We will defo be back. The bar owner downstairs was also lovely, friendly and chatty and gave us a voucher off for next time which was such a nice touch.

Looking for a local eatery for a casual, family birthday meal.  Popped in the day before and the staff allowed me to photo the menus and see the newly decorated upstairs restaurant area.  Really helpful and made my mind up - booked.

Food and service on the night were excellent.  Staff were friendly and helpful.  We were able to mix and match the Tapas Menu with the Bar Menu.  From the garlic breads through to the steaks and fish to the ice cream the meal was excellent.

Will have to return more often.

Informal family birthday meal - food and service excellent

I was looking forward to a local where I could eat good quality tapas as I go to Spain quite a lot and cook Spanish food myself. We had 6 tapas between us and I can honestly say the food was disappointing at best, terrible at worse. The ensalda fresca de Mallorca was the best of the of 5 but there was far too much sugar in the dressing for my taste. The worst was the gambas pil pil which should have had plump juicy prawns in a hot paprika and garlic sauce. The prawns were tiny and barely cooked, there was no heat and the sauce was very watery. The pescado adobado was luke warm, watery and slightly under cooked. When the server asked us if we had enjoyed our food, I gave an honest answer saying, in particular that I cook gambas pil pil a lot better than the dish we received. No comment and certainly no intention of mentioning it to anyone!
In addition a lot of the tapas dishes had been permanently crossed off the menu, possibly the most expensive and time consuming to produce? Unfortunately not a great experience. They really need to up their game if they are going to attract repeat local customers

Food is very lack lustre

The pub was recommended, so we booked the upstairs on a week day lunchtime, a large family table for 12 people. When we arrived we were told that upstairs was being decorated, although there was no attempt to contact us regarding this. The staff had set out a long line of bar tables in the public bar for us which wasn't ideal. 
Sadly, the food was quite bland and took over an hour to arrive. Most of the meat items from 'Albonigas' to steaks were 'off' the menu. It was obvious the chef had a day off and someone else was preparing lunches and they didn't want to lose this booking.

Disappointing

Really enjoyed our dinner here last night.  Huge menu with something for everyone, from tapas through to burgers and steaks.  Service was great and it feels like the people like working there.  Very reasonably priced too.
