This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel and definitely will be returning. The receptionist couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful, even leaving out some fruit/snacks/juice for when we checked out at around 4:30am which was hugely appreciated for an early start. The hotel itself is clean and tidy, well located for restaurants and bars. It isn’t necessarily the most modern but for the price you pay it’s perfectly fine.

Great value for money

Booked 3 months in advance only to find my room was double booked. Seems like this in normal practice at this hotel, Offered another hotel 5 miles away.  If I wanted to stay 5 miles away I would have booked that one.  My advice dont bother with this shambles of a hotel, there are good hotels around but this is not one,

Arrived the first day in the night only to find the toilet alongside with the bottom of the sink covered in fecal matter. There were some stains in the walls and towels. The bed mattress was very bad and outside the exhaust vents were running noisy I couldn't sleep all night. Left the very next day early, requesting full refund, with the receptionist rejecting this claim to booking.com.

All I can say is this is my new spot for me and my girls to start every half term!! it is so relaxed, warm and welcoming, the staff are friendly and attentive, the interior is very homely, a home from home.

If you want somewhere to stay when visiting Hampton Court Palace this hotel is ideal.  Luxurious it is not, but it is clean and comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed, but continental breakfast was served on the covered patio at the front.
Receptionist Eva-Maria (hope I spelled that right?)  and Manager Ernest were most welcoming and helpful.
Only thing against it is there are no ground floor rooms, and the stairs are quite steep and narrow, so perhaps not a good choice for someone with mobility problems. 

Small but very convenient!

If you just need a good  bed for the night with no frills,stay here.A few steps from Hampton court palace.
The receptionist was brilliant.
The room small but adequate.
Not modern with continental breakfast in a bag perfect for me.
I was walking the Thames path again location great to book in and continue on 3 miles to Kingston and return by bus,which stopped outside the hotel.

I’m a paramedic, I’d been up since 4.30 am at work & completely exhausted when I checked in at 7.30pm. 
Earnest on reception was very friendly. I went to my room (8) which is in the eaves. God help you if you’re over 5.1 .
Looks nothing like the lovely photos. 
I took my clothes off to have a shower, it run for 10 minuites with only cold coming out. Meanwhile I realised the room was freezing . I got dressed & went downstairs to find no one behind the desk but people waiting to check in.
I tried ringing 8 times but it just rang out . At 9.10 Earnest came back from his walk to find 3 people waiting to check in & me asking about the water. There was some head scratching while looking at the boiler. No shower for me, at this stage it was 10.30 & I was so tired & cold. I think he felt sorry for me because he found me a little heater, apologised & said he’d adjust my bill. Next morning -no hot water still. I spoke to a couple of workmen staying who said this was a regular occurrence & they wore track suits to bed.
There are 8 rooms pretty tired looking rooms , the shower when it finally worked had no thermostat so it was boiling water only. The metal plug in the sink once in wouldn’t come out. There was a giant kettle you couldn’t fill in the sink . All in all they want your money & ignore complains. Earnest is the best thing about the hotel.



Do not stay here unless you want hypothermia!

Booked a staycation at Hampton Court Hotel and had a great time. Service was lovely. Owner was very friendly and hospitable, rooms were cosy and continental breakfast was lovely. Great location only 5 minutes walk from Hampton Court Station. 2 minutes from Hampton court Palace. Lovely restaurants and parks nearby. Great for a peaceful getaway especially if you like walks by the river. 

Already arranging our next ladies staycay.

Ladies Staycation

Booked this hotel to see Rick Astley at Hampton court through Expedia.  I ticked pay at hotel on departure, but the hotel took the money immediately.   The concert was cancelled I phoned the hotel and they said a refund would not be a problem, however 5 months later,  I am still waiting for my refund.  Expedia are not able to help, as they say it is down to the hotel.  Expedia tried numerous times to contact this hotel re the refund but they would not answer.  I am now having to claim via my credit card company, which because of the number of claims going through may be sometime.  This is not the way to do business!

Refund of hotel room during Covid

Dirty, rundown, smelly and terrible service. I stayed there in Feb and it got so cold I had to sleep with my clothes on & still woke up a lot due to freezing temp. Entrance of the hotel (also dining room) looks nice: guess they made an effort there, didn't bother with the rooms after that? Wobbly stairs you can barely walk on, covered with a thick smelly rug. Our room (nr 1) clearly used to have brown-ish walls, but they had THROWN a coat of white paint on them, but just the one (what crime needed to be covered up?), looked weird and dingy. Mould on the ceiling and corner walls, paint of window sills coming of, water heater with black goo inside, black 'dust' everywhere (like there had been a fire & wind had blown ashes in). Bed linen seemed clean but was very smelly (may have been bed or pillows).
The room looked nothing like on the website, very misleading. And it's far from luxurious, as they advertise. Also: there is no free Wifi to speak of (it was impossible to get a decent connection since it was so slow), we didn't have a hairdryer as stated, the outside area at the back was full of junk (so it felt a bit weird parking the car there), and the housekeeping was non virtually existing (the room was very dirty).  When making the reservation, I was promised an adapter for the power socket but they'd forgotten. Guy at reception said he'd get one for me; I reminded him about it a bit later, but when I went down 1h later he had disappeared for the night, just like that, leaving me with a laptop I couldn't charge and an infra red lamp (brought to relieve my disabled daughter's chronic pain) I couldn't use. Didn't stay for breakfast, having seen how dirty it was. Couldn't speak to anyone about it, since nobody was at reception (and nobody came when I rang) when we checked out at 9:30 am.When I wrote the owner, he gave me the same answer he always does when people criticize something (bad reviews on booking.com): "customers praise his clean rooms, and the rooms are 'normally' well heated and ventilated." Well, mould on ceilings suggests otherwise. What really bothered me, is that he blamed me: I should've informed them about disabled daughter, & how they could assist. Well, I DID inform them that I would bring a disabled person (they even replied so they certainly read it), and their only part in assisting was: SUPPLY ADAPTER. 
The only thing they have going for them is the location, and the free parking; I guess they're surviving on that. Until the hotel is completely squeezed out like a lemon, because they clearly don't invest in it. Staff seems to provide service until you've booked and checked in (and they're sure of their income), after that you're on your own. This is a place that may suit backpackers, but that's all.
