Really helpful and friendly colleagues, from the moment we checked in, to the service we received at breakfast the next day. Great service, good size room and comfortable beds. We would definitely stay again!

Great colleagues and a super nights sleep

We stayed here to attend a family function in Rayleigh. The hotel itself is a state Premier Inn, but the staff were amazing, really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The highlight was breakfast though, there were 8 of us and the breakfast was cooked to order, we were able to put the tables together and the waitress was so helpful and friendly. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had, the scrambled eggs were perfect.

Amazing breakfast and friendly staff

All was very good. Room was clean, comfy beds. Hair dryer was very poor and was useless on my thick hair, not a complaint just letting others know that they may want to take there own. Shower tray over flowed and flooded the floor so had to use towels to mop up the water. 

Happy stay

The young lady that checked us in on the 23rd was amazing. Very helpful and friendly. Also the lady on reception on the 24th was brilliant too.
The reception area was decorated very nicely and was clean. 
The lady serving breakfast was lovely too.
Would definitely stay again.

First time visit 

I was meeting friends for a Christmas meal. I had a 3½hr drive to the location so wanted a hotel near to the restaurant. Easy parking and very quick booking in process. Staff friendly, room and hotel clean and comfortable. Will stay again on my next visit 

Convenient location

Lovely little gaff nice and quite and little Liley on the desk is absolutely fantastic she is so brilliant with us guests, please premier inn pay her more she is an asset. Rooms clean staff all polite what more can you ask for so well done PI and I will be returning soon

Happy with the hotel and the facilities. All apart from one member of staff were amazing and went above and beyond and made a sad time more manageable. One member of staff has the worse customer service skills I’ve ever experienced, because we were there for very sad times I didn’t say anything but we had to experience this lady three mornings in a row and she just got worse, extremely  rude especially to a grieving Daughter which upset me the most. Thankfully the other staff made up for it by being truly amazing the whole time and couldn’t do enough to help and support my family.

Im trying to loose weight and apparently the chef could not do beans on toast 

Family visit

It has been a while since we last stayed here and, on that occasion, I was very unimpressed.  Its big benefit, of course, is being right next to the A127, so giving ease of access to anywhere you want to be in the Southend area.  And its generous parking.

It is undoubtedly quite tired looking these days and could do with a bit of a spruce up.  Having said that, the staff this time seemed to be much more friendly and efficient than on our last visit.

From our past experiences we decided not to book cooked breakfasts, but opted for a continental one on the morning we left.  From the experience of our niece and her husband who were staying as well, it was the right decision, as they said their cooked breakfast was tasteless.

If its where you need to be, it is an adequate place to stay.

Adequate for a night or two stay

Chose Premier inn as its very consistent in both service and quality.   Hotel is adjacent to the A127 at Rayleigh weir next to a Harvester restaurant..  plenty of parking including disabled spots near entrance.   Staff on reception were very polite, Welcoming and friendly.  
Room was clean and tidy as expected with Coffee/Tea facilities.  Machine in foyer for cold drinks at a cost but free extra Tea/Coffee Sugar packets erc available on reception if you run low. 
Overall a great stay.
