Disappointing stay. Hotel is worn, looks like it’s been dragged backwards out of the 80’s and needs a good refurbishment. Pool not open all the time. Limited staff numbers with one person covering everything in the evening . Tendency to not open things like the bar in the evening. Had to go in and turn on the lights myself. Evening restaurant was a no.

We were here one night during our coastal hike. We saw many hotels in Jersey and Guernsey and this was the worst. The hotel is very far from Saint Martin, the last bus drove about 14:25 and arrived half an hour late. The menu at the reception was not bad at first - at night there were only major walks, no mention of menus or pre-meals. The prices were then happy, because nothing really tasted. The vegetables were watery, the fish (lax, seafood) tasted tranky, the risotto tasted like crumbled long grain rice and the potato had a bad cold aftertaste. The pool was covered because it was - we would have liked to have been here... we would have liked to go to the kitchen.

I'd rather not go...

It doesn’t look much from the outside, but I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It looks newly renovated with a colorful decor and the shower was especially nice and modern. The bar could do with an update, but I guess that might be next as the restaurant seems newer, too. Food was good, but has no or not many options for vegetarians. 
Additionally, I was missing sun lounges at the pool, but there is plenty of seating around it.

Saints bay hotel is set on the side of the Guernsey  coastal path in an amazing location that is its only benefit
This hotel is truly awful.  Plastic duvet on bed. Paper thin towels. Plastic mugs and the worst value breakfast imaginable 
We booked to stay for five days but had to break our stay. We rebooked elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.   In fairness two towels were replaced with marginally better. Breakfast was the worst I’ve had in any hotel. Heated up under a grill.   Ju

Grim on every level

Poor location.   It was like top of a mountain.      Bar staff.   First language  wasn't  English.      Bar prices advertised.   Different prices  charged  when paying.    Prices different depending  who was serving.     Stayed 3 days.  Ordered breakfast   received  items  not ordered

Stayed three nights at Saints Bay Hotel, throughly enjoyed our stay. Hotel is situated across road from cliff path with breathtaking views of the bay below.
The staff are outstanding, all so mannerly, attentive and helpful. So lovely to be greeted constantly with a smile.
Excellent bus service just a few minutes walk from hotel so whole island of Guernsey is accessible by public transport.
Throughly recommend this hotel for a stay in Guernsey.

Beautiful hotel

Stayed for a few days while visiting Guernsey and given that this is a three star hotel, was amazed at the high standard of my room, the facilities, and the friendly efficiency of the staff. Above all, however, the excellence of the food provided as part of my breakfast and dinner booking, and at lunchtime via the bar, really impressed me.

The hotel's quiet location, yet within a short walk of the island bus service; coupled with the lovely coastal path walks on its doorstep, were the icing on the cake!

An ideal Home from Home

Food was rationed, one piece of toast for breakfast, no helping yourself for breakfast or dinner, not enough food to feed a child, nowhere near to buy food as the bus stop was about a mile away to town. Hotel in the middle of nowhere very disappointing

My sister and I spent one night whilst walking around the coastal path.  Clearly this hotel was chosen for it’s location.  We were the only guests that night and it seemed that we might be the first guests for 2 years.  Certainly most of the staff were new and had not yet got acquainted with their roles; hopefully she will improve with time and practice.  The room appeared to have been recently refurbished but with some elements not yet complete, but it was clean and everything worked.  The breakfast did not include any element of buffet and we were only offered full English and toast, plus drinks, but to be fair we did not ask if there were alternatives; hopefully there were if you needed them.

  My friend & I  booked a short break in Guernsey, a place neither of us had visited. Although there was the initial paperwork due to Covid, there were less problems, as Guernsey had their own system in place. Our very first impressions of the island & it's people, was at the airport. Normally a stressful, busy place, this was calm & relaxed, with the kindest of people. We were collected by a mini bus from one of the local taxi firms. He too, was pleasant & helpful. This theme continued throughout our 4 days/3 nights that we were there. 
  Our base for this trip was the Saint's Bay Hotel. The website was very smart & professional looking. As previously stated, we knew nothing of the island, other than points of interest in guide books. I had envisaged something along the lines of a traditional English seaside hotel, surrounded by typical B&B properties, in a town setting. It also boasted a swimming pool, though we had no interest in that. Therefore when we arrived in the dark, I was somewhat surprised to see what appeared to be a large bungalow in a residential area. We were greeted at the small reception desk by a smiling young man, who I took to be of Turkish descent. I'd requested a light supper for myself, as we'd not been able to eat at Birmingham airport. THAT had been a stressful start to our trip, however I digress. The receptionist hadn't been told of this, but kindly offered to make me a sandwich & deliver it to my room. I gratefully accepted. We went up to our rooms, mine facing the front carpark, & my friend's on the poolside ( though no view of it due to glass screens ). My sandwich delivered & devoured, I rang my friend, & we went downstairs to the bar for a drink. Or so we thought. Yes, we could buy a drink, but possibly due to the time, around 21:00, we would need to take them to our rooms🙂. The small attached dining area had just been set up for breakfast by 2 young Bangladeshi ( ? ) men, & the lights turned off there, so we purchased our drinks from the receptionist & took them up to my friend's room to sit on her balcony. It was a most pleasant evening, we even saw a shooting star, something I think of as a sign of good things to come. I was right.
  Although quirky in some of it's ways, all the staff were exceptionally pleasant & helpful. The setting, not in the town as I'd expected, but near Icart Point, had some stunning views from my Juliet balcony. A 5 minute walk up the lane, as suggested by our receptionist, brought us to a viewpoint with walks along the cliffs, which we, as arthritic sexogenarians, could not take advantage of. No matter, the views took our breath away😎😎
  All in all, we had a most wonderful holiday. Though it was nothing like I'd imagined. It was SO MUCH more, & that was down to the gentle kindness of the Guernsey people, particularly the staff at the Saint's Bay Hotel☺️
