Blinkbonnie is a superb little guest house. Our spotlessly clean room, a well cooked breakfast every morning and friendly and helpful hosts, all have ensured that our week's stay in Portpatrick  has been a truly super one. The house itself is in a lovely elevated position which means you get super views down through the village to the harbour. You can enjoy this from Blinkbonnie's front terrace where you can sit in an evening. 
Portpatrick is a little gem of a village, friendly and welcoming. I hope we can return.

Blinkbonnie, Portpatrick, Mull of Galloway, a long way, away but oh so worth it!

We booked this guest house in order to enjoy the wonders of Portpatrick. Easy to locate and has its own parking too which is a bonus! The room was well laid out, spotless clean too. Breakfast was superb also! Both Robert and Lesley made you welcome and it was ideally located for the harbour and local sites. Certainly worth a visit and we would highly recommend it.

Blink and you’ll miss this gem!

Excellent guest house. I popped in on the off chance we could use the toilet once we arrived even though check wasn't for another couple of hours. Met by Lesley who even though was on the phone and very busy allowed us to check in early as the room was ready. We booked 2 rooms and both were spotlessly clean and smelt lovely. The breakfast was also very nice and the lady who served us very polite and always checking everything was ok and if we needed anything else. We will definitely stay at blinkbonnie again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful scrupulously clean guesthouse, breakfast was lovely as was the service. 
Rooms spacious and very welcoming as are the owners Lesley and Robert. 
The view of the harbour and surrounding hills and cliffs is stunning, a perfect place to stay for a week. We will definitely be back again next year

Fantastic

Our first visit to Portpatrick to visit relatives in the area, my partner and I spent a few nights at Blinkbonnie, and it certainly won’t be the last visit to this exceptional accommodation. 
The owners Lesley and Robert were so warm welcoming and accommodating. 
We slept well in the comfortable twin room as there wasn’t a vacancy for a double but it was lovely spacious room with ensuite. 
Our breakfast was hearty and delicious, and what I also call “cleanly” presented (not greasy, just lovely and fresh) 
In fact everything was spotlessly clean and the views from the front of the house… are simply stunning! 
We look forward to visiting again

Wonderful hospitality and spotlessly clean.

As an experienced and frequent traveller both here in Scotland and abroad, I have to say that my experience at the Blinkbonny was simply bizarre. I have stayed before and knew what to expect. Clean, pleasant, nicely maintained gardens, cheap but cheerful. 
Unfortunately, I wasn't prepared to be confronted by an extremely drunk and aggressive owner. Admittedly, there was confusion of what time we had to check in and we did arrive late (1940 hrs), however one of our party had gone earlier to collect the keys. 
I personally arrived to be confronted by Robert (owner) who could hardly stand up or string a sentence together. After respectfully listening to him, I apologised for any inconvenience where he settled down. I went into my room to drop off my bag and on exiting my room he confronted me again. The lady owner was so drunk she entered one of out groups room ( for which she apologised when we left). 
The rest of our stay went smoothly however it was very awkward. Either Robert was ashamed if his behaviour or couldn't remember what he had done. 
Anyway, it was the platinum jubilee and perhaps the owners were enjoying the festivities a bit too much. 
I'm genuinely sorry to have to submit a poor review but feel I must inform future patrons as I myself always consult reviews before booking.

Fab accommodation Blinkbonnie Portpatrick

We stayed at this bed and breakfast this weekend. Loved every minute of it, lovely b&b, lovely couple, lovely food, very clean, helpful, no word ma can describe this place and business .. absolutely fabulous

Birthday weekend

1st visit to PortPatrick and stayed one night at Blink Bonnie. Up a ‘’not too strenuous’’ short hill about 3-4 mins from harbour area. We could not fault this guest house at all. Totally spotless, clean and freshly decorated. Very comfortable bed and a quiet room, nicely furnished. Lesley and Robert were so friendly. Breakfast was perfectly cooked. We would most definitely return to Blink Bonnie when visiting again which we plan to hopefully later this year. Thank you for looking after us.

Lovely overnight stay!!

Just back from visiting here for a couple of nights. Everything about this guest house was perfect. Great room, great location, great breakfast, friendly hosts. Will defo be back! Portpatrick is a lovely wee place to visit.
