The friendliest, most welcoming and loveliest place I've stayed at in a long, long, time. Easily the best place to stay in Portpatrick for comfort, great food and value for money.

Emma and Nick are a great team but take time to speak to John and Mary too. You won't ve disappointed.

If you could live there you would, believe me. Its a perfect blend of homely comfort and restaurant quality food.

I'd give them six stars if I could.

Don't go anywhere else

I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it literally is home from home and probably the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Emma and her family went above and beyond for us after we found ourselves stranded with no accommodation due to a booking in another B&B being cancelled without our knowledge. Friendly hosts, comfortable and modern room and beautiful location. Thank you so much.

Outstanding B&B

2nd evening meal at Dunskey Guest House. Excellent service, superb food beautifully presented and great value with set prices for 2 or 3 course options. Cannot praise this establishment enough. Tip ...You need to book well in advance to get a table as the word is out !. Looking forward to our next meal there. 

Fine dining in Portpatrick 

Excellent - couldn't fault it in any way. Thanks to Emma and all the team it was like home from home. We only had B&B for one night due to family commitments but will definitely be back. Jan and Greg, Preston

A True Gem

Stayed overnight following my return from NIreland before driving home. I was made to feel very welcome by everyone. My room was very comfortable with everything I needed. Breakfast was delicious. 
Looking forward to returning for a longer stay soon. 

Lovely stay

Went for an evening meal with a large group of friends. In fact it was a table of 12. We were sent the menu to pre order food, which we did. One of our party was vegan, and catered for with a good selection of both starters, mains and desserts. 
We arrived and we’re seated and the food came quickly, and was delicious. Emma was very attentive while seating and serving. We all had a really nice time. Would recommend it if you’re in Portpatrick or the surrounding area. 

A fabulous experience at Dunsky Guest House, Portpatrick.

This is a quaint guest house that is very convenient to Dunskey golf course and Portpatrick Village. Family run and very reasonable, Mary and Emma are great hosts and breakfasts are excellent value. A continental choice and fries are available and freshly cooked. 
Good clean rooms and comfortable. Great location for golfers as the course is 200 yards up the hill.
A good location for exploring the local area.

 Had a lovely 2 night stay at Dunskey guest house at the weekend .Great location for the golf course with car parking behind . Visited with daughter for a golf competition, couldn’t have been handier, 2 minute walk up the hill. Very clean, comfortable rooms and the friendliest owner you could meet , thank you Emma, you were the best , nothing was ever too much trouble and always met with a smile. An offer in May was a two night stay with a free afternoon tea on the Saturday, we came back from golf and WOW  , we had chosen a savoury and a sweet , it was amazing , one of the best I,ve had . Great find, will definitely use again , thank you so much . Linsay x 

PERFECT

Dunskey is a true find.  It's a beautifully 'done up' big house with character.  Exceptional service, run by an exceedingly welcoming and accomodating couple who understand what customer service is all about.  Smiling is quite easy!  The breakfast was exceptional and there is also a fully booked restaurant with a really lovely menu which we sadly were too late to experience as it was full.  I was here with my son who was in a golf competition.  We usually don't choose a guest house - as I have had too many bad experiences - but this was seriously good and I would definitely come back.  Great value for money, spotless and properly home from home.  GO!  I NEVER bother reviewing but this deserves it.  Gilly, Kilmacolm.  

Outstanding

Where to start, great location, looking over the town, wonderful welcome from a lovely host, who was on point throughout our stay. The whole place is immaculate and so clean, the  bedroom we had was more than adequate for two and the bed had a matress  as good as any premier inn one. Breakfast was fabulous. Not one single negative. It was so good I almost didn't want to review as I quite liked it being our own guilty secret, but they deserve it to be known. We will be back.
