Don't expect much what with a room and bathroom down the hall. There are many hotels similar to this..some worse than others. This one is particularly filthy. As soon as you get buzzed in the door, the stinging stench of urine hits you in the face worse than a tenderloin sidewalk on a hot summer day.  Im pretty sure these hotels have a lot of prostitution,  drug use, screaming fighting and NEVER a moment of silence so I hope you have decent headphones.  The toilet down the hall has a floor that is always wet with something aweful since the room only houses a toilet..and hopefully you have other means besides toilet paper to clean yourself off with because that wasn't in the budget either. On your way back to your room look at the floor because there'll  be a guy in his room with the door cracked open cooking up sausages on a skillet watching graphic pornography for all to hear...its just uncomfortable to make eye contact.  If anyone tries to talk to you do not respond in any way and run back to your room if you have to, shut your eyes and wait for the sun to rise. If a man opens your door with a key asking if he left his backpack in there, then seeing your a female and alone tries to smooth talk his way in the people that work there claim not to know how he opened the door. So if you end up here..take the sleepless night to either make a promise to never return to San Francisco if you are touring...or to get your life together if you have to stay here for some godawful reason. This isn't even the worst one either.

Maybe cleanliness wasn't in the budget ...

One bathroom per floor under remodelling and not sanitary at all. Website is not very clear about conditions, San Francisco is a very expensive city and this is one of the most affordable hotels, so it attracts a budget concscious clientele but I could tell other guests were not very happy with the state of affairs here. 

Sad state of affairs

Don't go there because the price-quality ratio is embarrassing, and an establishment in such a state should be shutting down.

Avoid it at all costs

The reviews read before the trip were not promising, however for New Year's Eve there was no cheaper choice. The building was sluggish on a street full of drug addicts. The hotel's customers were equally bizarre and unsettling. The room was fortunately clean, though really essential.

A experience

The location is great. Very close to SOMA. The room is fine. but there's only one bathroom. Work. Sometimes you have to wait your turn. Wi-Fi is good.

A good place to stop.

Average accommodation, unhealthy living conditions, disturbing neighbors and strange smells are just some of the surprises that await you. I've never seen a worse place.

The House of Horrors

I've traveled a lot in my life, and I've never felt so bad in a hotel, if you can talk about a hotel. Dirty, fatigued, rude staff, worst part of San Francisco, tiny rooms, uncomfortable, noisy beds, bathrooms to the limits of human disgust.

It's exciting.

The hotel is dirty and gloomy, the neighborhood is dangerous at night, the hospitality is cold, the rooms are dirty and filthy, the common parts are unhealthy, and the smell of urine comes from the common toilets and showers.

A nightmare

The only quality, of course, has to be the presence of a free WiFi point. Other than that, between the sinister appearance with the smell of urine in the background, the tiny rooms with cockroaches, the filthy toilets, and the really restrictive or even dangerous neighborhood as night falls, you get closer to Guantanamo than you get to a hotel.

It's hard to do worse

The hotel is located in a very sparsely populated area. The hotel is dirty: there is a smell of urine in the stairs and in some hallways! The rooms are dirty and noisy! The toilets are very dirty! No TV, no Internet and bad associates! We advise against it!
