I spent three nights at this hotel in May of this year-2023.The location was perfect-in the centre of town and close to attractions and restaurants.The room I was given was large,clean and serviced daily...I want to pay tribute to the staff who were friendly and helpful-Shanina,Flavellina and Lilliana....Breakfast was included in the price of the room and was plentiful and well presented...I am happy to recommend this place and gladly give it 10 out of 10.

Gran Hotel Uruguay-pleasant and good value

I stayed two times, both for work in the city of Salto. The location is very good, close to the public bodies and a block of the main shopping street. This last time I had a problem with the room, which I was very uncomfortable with and when making the plan at the reception the manager approached, apologized and compensated me, which smoothed out my bad experience. The breakfast is correct and the staff friendly and helpful. I would return to my lodging, indicating that I would not give me this last room. My overall assessment is considering my two stays there.

The right hotel, good location, good treatment.

We are 2 adults and 3 children who have spent 4 days in Salto - the hotel has been very good for us! 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and 3 single beds. The rooms are connected by a hallway and door. The location is in the centre, so everything is easy to walk to. WiFi in the lobby is excellent. There is also a computer available. The tickets for the term Salto Grande are sponsored free of charge by the hotel. At the Tecrption gave good food tips. The recommended restaurant La Trottoria convinced with a varied menu and excellent preparation. The first thing in the hotel is very early, with fresh croissants, snacks, cheeses, personal snacks, bread, oranges, and coffee, which was also served in the corners of the ground for a short time.

Simple, very good hotel in the centre

We paid US$15 too much for this hotel because it was over Christmas. The room was tiny and shabby but functional. The location is good and breakfast ok. If you can get a room cheaply, think about staying, as Salto hotels are expensive relative to the region. Staff are friendly. 

Basic hotel, ok for a night

Yes, the room was clean, as well as the sheets and towels.The breakfast was normal.We were touched by a room on the ground floor and really in the morning there was a lot of noise of people in the lobby and having breakfast.

Nice location, good care, a well-served and abundant breakfast, excellent treatment, very clean, sheets and towels immaculate, excellent laundry and room service, great care in detail highly recommended.

Comparisons are always bad. If you need a simple hotel, where to sleep and take a shower this hotel will do good. Be prepared for doors that do not avoid noise outside, air conditioning that you cannot set the temperature right and simple breakfast. On the positive, this is one block away the main street "Calle Uruguay" and has available parking. 

We spent two nights and for the money we are fine.

Yes, it has beds and bathrooms...

We stayed one night in a double room that was two separate rooms sharing the bathroom. Both with balcony with two televisions, refrigerator and safe. pillows and extra phrases. it was clean, the bathroom was very small. the breakfast was fine, only you can repeat what tomatoes or cakes, bread, jam and butter gave you a certain amount per person.

The hotel is old as well as its furniture. the attention and cleanliness is good, modest breakfast. we have a double haitaion, a comfortable space on the street, very noisy, favours the proximity to the center, we walk and pass the water park, so you can save quite a bit of money.

Location is good, everything is walkable. From the bus station about a 20 min walk, so thats o.k. too. The building has surely seen better times - paint is missing, installations are old. But: matraces were good, ac worked - and the staff is super friendly.  Also, a free ticket to the parque aquatic is included. For the price paid: very good value. I would sure recommend to stay here.
