The stay was just great: - rooms very clean - breakfast very good - owners very warm and helpful One evening we were invited to a hot pot with the whole family and the food (and the liquor) were the hammer.

That's perfect.

The house is run by a very friendly and helpful family. The rooms are absolutely clean and spacious, we hadn't missed anything here. A nice breakfast, we had the opportunity to rent a scooter - everything worked great. Absolutely recommend!!!

It's been a great stay.

This guesthouse is a great place to stay while in Sapa. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the lake and the town center so you have easy access to restaurants but avoid the noise. The owner was very friendly and helped us organize tours and rent a motorbike. The standard room was great with a heated mattress, hot water, and a western toilet. Would definitely recommend as a good, cheap place to stay in Sapa.

Great place to stay in Sapa

I spent four nights at Sapa Local House - situated close to centre of Sapa but far enough away from the noise of the construction work that is rife in the town for a quiet stay.  Rooms are comfortable and breakfast good and freshly made by owner (choice of western food or noodle soups).  What makes the hotel stand out is friendliness of the owner who was eager to provide advise on things to do and would provide tea when you returned home at the end of the day;  I was also invited to eat dinner with his family on my last night which was incredibly kind and tasty(not sure if this is a common thing or because I was travelling alone and the hotel was quiet). I also got free late check out.  Overall thoroughly recommended especially for the price.

Great quiet hotel - tremendous hospitality

We had a very pleasant stay at the Sapa Local House, run by a friendly and hospitable family, who can speak some English. While it’s quite near the Sapa main strip and the church, it’s tucked away in a quiet neighborhood atop a hill (note: it’s a little difficult to locate and be prepared to get very tired lugging your bags up a steep slope!) and hence removed from the noise and dust of the busy Sapa town. The family room is large, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The common areas – the reception and the balcony outside the rooms that overlook the rooftops of the surrounding buildings, all the way to the Sapa lake – are pretty with lots of potted flowering plants. We inferred that they must be house-proud owners who have an eye for detail. We also enjoyed tucking into a bowl of hot, steaming “Pho Ga” for breakfast on a wintry morning.

An amazing host, a very good breakfast and rooms like a hotel. A good mattress, pillow and bathrooms. The owner understands English perfectly and is very kind, helped us pick up the train tickets and was always kind to our requests.

An excellent place to sleep in a sofa.

A simple somewhat bare bones hotel, but definitely a step up from a hostel.  The place was spotlessly clean, the staff was lovely, the breakfast was delicious (they'll make whatever you want pretty much) and the price was very cheap.  The only downside is that it can be quite challenging to find - the easiest way is to go to the Victorian hotel and then follow the road just to the left of the Victorian for about a block and a half and the hotel will be on your left.

Simple but clean and the staff is great

We spent 2 nights here. It was a small hotel and near the center, but you have to walk on stairway ( bit tired with luggage). Our room was small but cozy, however the bathroom was so small. It was still good with a cheap price.

Good hotel 

It's a small family hotel on a hill in an alley. It's not easy to find. We had a large room that looked directly over the dining room. Only guests that night didn't bother us. The boss is very nice and warm. Very clean (you have to put on your socks to go home!). As often in Vietnam, we heard the singing of the roosters and the barking...

It's a great reception.

The staff is very friendly and friendly. The rooms are well maintained and clean. From some rooms you can have a beautiful view of the city. Bikes can also be rented on demand.
