We had some issues with a pre-booked hotel at Sapa, so we requested our tour agent to move us to another hotel. At that time we had no idea where we were moved to. As soon as we walked-in the Pinocchio hotel, we felt right at ease. The lovely manager, named Loan, greeted us right at the front door. Checked in was very quick... Ms. Loan explained to us everything in detail... she is very helpful. She is one the best managers in all the hotels that we stayed in Vietnam. Thank you Ms. Loan, you made our stay at Pinocchio a very pleasant one.
For the hotel, its location is perfect. It is very central to everything. The room is clean and spacious. The beds are very comfortable. 
We stayed for 2 days and we were served dinners, and breakfasts at the restaurant next door. The food is excellent at this restaurant. Great service as well. 
Overall, great experience for us at Pinocchio. We definitely would come back to this hotel next time we are at Sapa. Thanks again for your great service Ms. Loan.

Pleasant hotel with great manager

The location is perfect and the rooms where clean and nice.
The staff/owners where very service minded and helpful, and helped us with a lot of arrangements at the best prices we have ever experienced while traveling south east Asia.
Realy recommend this hotel.

The best service

Look carefully before you book - it was a no refund booking, i.e. no period in which you could cancel without incurring cost. Whatsmore, as soon as we booked, they took our money out of our account, i.e. about 2 1/2 weeks before we even arrrived! We had 3 rooms booked, 2 were meant to have 2 single beds, but they insisted they couldn't do this. We went back and forth until I mentioned a review, and then suddenly they were able to find what we'd booked. Our room with the double bed - the deluxe had a pervasive really unpleasant smell. This is one to stay away from!

Dodgy finances & amenities

I planned to stay in this friendly hotel for a couple of days but ended up staying for a week.
The beds are the most comfortable that i have slept in anywhere in Vietnam.
The owners and staff were friendly and helpful.
My room had a TV and fridge and a nice clean bathroom.  
Towells, shampoo, toothbrushes provided.  Prices are good value so i will be staying here next time I come to Sapa.

Friendly place

We stayed for 3 nights in April on recommendation.  Breakfast was delicious and the owner helped us very much with our program. The biggest problem for now in the hotel is construction nearby, so it's very noisy from early in the morning. But the elevator worked all the time so we had no problem getting to our roof flour. The room was very spacious if a little cold, but blankets and big heater helped very well.
So my recommendations - if not for now, but in half a year when it will be quieter (but actually they are building all over Sapa, so I'm not sure if you can escape the noise :)

Good views,great breakfast and very helpful owner

In Sapa, there is a big offer and I was having a hard time making my choice.This hotel is quite large and has small rooms on the very top floor full of charm.They are located just above the restaurant which is on the top floor of the building.The reception is efficient, the breakfast very good.

Welcome and friendly room

It's worth hiring with them for the Sappa and the tribes trekking, avoiding rooms with little light and humidity...the higher the room, the better!

Very correct and centric.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we had dinner at the restaurant and we tasted an absolutely delicious Vietnamese fondue, presented with taste, very copious, at a very favorable price. The very pleasant service and the cozy atmosphere made us have a great evening.

Hotel restaurant

We took the 1-day tour to the mountain people at the hotel (transfer by bus, morning walk through 1 village, lunch and then a horny tour through the high rice fields. For 10$ (??) the trekking tour was the hammer; everything was muddy, we had to be strongly supported by our mountain people's companions because of the mud. Partly went down strongly, the pulse went steep upwards, very exhausting..GEIL!! ABER: we were 1 night in November. The weather was cold and rainy.

I mean, it's a fun ride, but...

We had expectations of this hotel because of the comments and photos we had seen. Bad, bad. I hate to say this, but that was our experience. The personal, well. The problem was in the establishment itself. Dirty, MUCH dirty. The bathroom floor was terrible. Telaranas on every corner, the low-pressure shower, the bathtub full of black markings, the rotten and brown towels of dirt, the toilet pit without drinking water, holes in the floor, cucarachas haciendonos compañia, smell of humidity in the bathroom... No has been a pleasant experience...
