Holiday Inn Express - Yerevan by IHG 

Myself and a friend stayed for one night in April, after travelling back to Yerevan from Goris. Our rate included breakfast and a bottle of wine. Pros: -Welcoming and helpful staff. Their name badge also shows which languages they speak, a good idea. -Modern and clean premises. -Free WiFi throughout hotel. -2 Lifts to all floors - use room key to activate. -Room 1202 - spacious room with two single beds. Keycard entry. Integrated air-con unit. Open space with hanging area. Iron & ironing board. Large vertical mirror. Small suitcase stand. Coat hook. Safe. Poof. Small fridge. Upholstered swivel chair and a table. Small shelf with a kettle & tea/coffee making facilities. Two complimentary bottles of water. QR Code for takeaway menu. Wall-mounted Philips 29-inch TV - English language channels are Aljazeera, DW News, travel, Discovery, CNBC; plus FastSports sports channel (Armenian). Telephone. En-suite bathroom with spacious walk-in shower, toilet, basin (drinkable tap water), large mirror. Views from rear of hotel of neighbouring buildings away from potential traffic noise. -Express Cafe and Bar (ground floor) - breakfast buffet 7-11am. Fruit juices, coffee machines, filter coffee jugs, meats, salads, hot food (bacon, omelettes, sausages, porridge), bread, toaster, cereals, fruit, cakes. Small trays available to carry breakfast items. -Business Center (ground floor) - 2 PCs (Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer) by Lifts. Cons: -Limited drop off/pickup area at hotel entrance. Hotel on one-way section of street, so had to be very quick removing bags & suitcases from our tourist car. Driver had to park around the corner from the hotel for pickup. -Room - sufficient storage for only one suitcase. -Room - a larger screen TV would be an improvement. Notes: -The hotel is centrally located in the city opposite Diana Abgar Park. There are numerous cafes, restaurants, and sites within walking distance. Yerevan City supermarket (open 24 hours) is a 5 minute walk from the hotel at the Mesrop Mashtots Ave underpass. -We ate at the adjacent Casa Nostra and nearby Napoletana Armenia restaurants. -In Yerevan we did a 2.5 hour Free Tour walking tour from Cascade Complex to other sites including Northern Avenue, Opera House, Republic Square, Blue Mosque, St. Sargis Vicarial Church and views towards Mount Ararat. -We also went on two minibus day trips out of Yerevan: Arch of Charents/Garni Temple/Symphony of Stones/Geghard Chapel and Khor Virap/Areni-1 Cave/Noravank Monastery/Areni Wine Factory. -During our time in Armenia we also traveled to Goris and Dilijan.
