2 reviewsNina is a brilliant host offering faultless LGBTQ+ friendly accommodation. She was reassuring and very welcoming from booking to check out. On arrival she made sure we knew our way into town and left us to relax in the room with a promise that if we needed anything we could get in touch. When we ran out of hand soap a WhatsApp message was all it took to get a replacement. Enni Guest House offers a feeling of home (Nina and her family live downstairs) while also being private and quiet up in the third floor studios. The shared balcony has a lovely view of the mountains and is equipped with tables and chairs if you want to sit outside and have a drink. We didn’t cook but there was enough equipment to make a simple dinner or breakfast on the two job rings in the room though I’d suggest eating out as Mostar offers plenty of great-value options. (Top recommendations the pekara between Enni and the Old Town for baked goods to go at all hours and Hindin Han for incredible authentic Bosnian food.) It might look a bit far on the map but it’s a nice direct route for the 10 minute-ish walk into town and you’ll feel like you’re staying amongst the locals while getting to see a nice quieter residential side to the city. Good to know: The only slight problem we had was that our taxi driver couldn’t find the guesthouse because he didn’t have sat nav and we had no phone signal. This probably isn’t the norm and is nothing to do with Nina or Enni Guest House but worth mentioning just in case the same happens to you. There’s no Uber in Mostar and to get a taxi from the bus station you just have to loiter around platform 1 and hope a driver turns up. (There’s no regular flow of drivers waiting as one might expect at an international bus terminal.) It would be worth pinning the location on Google Maps/screen-capping the route from the bus station to the guest house as roaming will cost you a fortune. There is wifi available at the cafes next to platforms 8-9 if you’re stuck. Long and short of this review is that Nina is a great host and you won’t be disappointed with your stay at Enni.
