We stayed here 2 years ago but forgot to write a review for the lovely Edi and Esma. They were kind and helpful in sorting activities for us (they also came white water rafting with us!). Hostel was well equipped and clean. Thanks!

We checked in here on our second stop around the Balkans and were excited to see more of BiH after a stop in Sarajevo.

This hostel was a great choice in a great location. The old town is only a 5-10 minute leisurely walk away and it is located opposite a grand church, which makes it very easy to make your way back to.

The two owners are a lovely couple who are more than happy to tell you about the local area, make restaurant recommendations, and generally give you all you need to navigate Mostar. 

The excursions that the hostel run are brilliant and I would particularly recommend the all day city tour, which culminates at the beautiful Kravice falls.

Very clean, very helpful and wonderful staff. Everything you need at a great price.

What really makes Savat special are the owners, Esma and Edi, who do best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, even running a tour of the area from the hostel, with breakfast included on the day.
It’s a great location, clean, quiet, and great value.

Stayed at savat a few weeks ago. My bus was late, but they stayed up to let me check in. The location is great as it is at most a 7 minute walk from the old bridge, and the back yard is very convenient for meeting other travelers. Also did the hostel organized tour which I would always recommend.

Best hostel in Eastern Europe!

Low price, priceless staff, great location

Brilliant hostel with brilliant people 

Stayed here last year. Was kicked out of my boyfriends room while innocently waiting by the door for him to finish using the bathroom. I was closely followed rudely by a white dark haired girl out of the room who obnoxiously hovered as I waited. Told some friends on the patio about this being a bit odd and unprofessional, and was consequently SCREAMED at and cursed at by this young woman and the male manager. Told I was "not allowed to speak or think bad things about the hostel on property" or would be kicked out. After some petty and b****y gestures and spiteful words from the female, and me politely telling them that as a hotel manager in the US they were making a mistake, the owner tried to physically escort me out (a middle aged man in attempting to put his hands on a small young woman who was clearly not causing problems and being polite). The female continued to scream and tell me I am not permitted to speak as I walked out and waited on the ground of the sidewalk across the street for my friends to meet me. Horrible. Never encountered ruder people in all my years of nomadic traveling across the globe. Not allowed to think??? Trip advisor sure doesn't think that's the case. Switched to another hostel in the old town with a MUCH better location, MUCH nicer facilities, and INCREDIBLE staff. Same price! Don't put yourself through the mess of trying to have a civil interaction with these dreadful staff members. They also treat women, in general, like they have the same status as dogs. Yikes. Wish I could leave negative stars. I'd sleep on the ground before coming back here.
