We had a great time in Bulgaria. The apartment was tidy and had plenty of space! The hospitality standards were fantastic and we didn’t have any issues whatsoever, with every question being answered immediately if required. Roni was a brilliant host and we will hopefully be back soon!

We stayed in a a studio flat on the ground floor in Block IV.  We went to Bansko to ski so Cedar Lodge is a great location for us - directly across from the gondola station.  The building is well lit and maintained and the staff are friendly.  There is also a nice restaurant in the building that is perfect for a lazy dinner after a long day on the slopes.

We stayed here for a skiing holiday and found the apartment to be spacious and comfortable, but in particular the location is superb being very close to the gondola, and just away from the noisier area. The 4 minutes walk to the gondola takes you past a ski hire shop, there are food shops very close, plus an excellent restaurant on site and a choice of others nearby.
When we stayed it was very quiet and there seemed to be only a few other apartments being used.
Our apartment had views of the ski mountain and the gondola so we could see if there was a queue!

I recommend Cedar Lodge 3/4 to anyone visiting Bansko for winter sports. The location is great! The town and the slopes are very nice!
It is literally 2 minutes away from the gondola. Walking distance with full gear on!

We rented 2 Three-Rooms Appartments. Everything was like in description: large bedrooms (one queen + twin) and an expandable sofa in the livingroom, suitable for two people.

Kitchen had everything you need to cook (eating out is rather costly to be honest). Each bathroom had its own boiler for hot water.
The heating is done with electric heaters and it gets crazy hot if you tune the heaters to maximum. Each appartment has an open balcony for your gear ... or to smoke.

Administrator was really kind and helpful and was speaking english perfectly. You just have to arrive before 17:00 in order for him to greet you. Otherwise you’re stuck with the guardian and he only speaks bulgarian.

The reason for this 4**** rating is the way they accept payments: no credit cards! You have to travel to a bank and make a cash payment to them. It is too complicated, time wasting and unfortunately it brings additional costs to you as guest (bank transfer tax). While these taxes are not that big, you do have to waste time travellig to a physical bank office, stay in line ... and all that to pay more in the end.



As a first foray into the world of snow sports this small but perfectly formed apartment was just the ticket - an easy (even in ski boots!) walk to and from the gondola and an even easier journey in the lift (sans ski boots) to the lovely restaurant downstairs (Five Points).

The apartment is on the top floor with views of the gondola (essential for judging when to get out of bed to join the queue).  We didn't need it, but should the snow/weather be poor there is a TV and DVD player available - you could while away a couple of hours on the sofa or better still you could indulge yourself with a massage at one of the local spas.

With one double/twin bedroom, shower room, hallway and a large open plan lounge/kitchen area (with sofabeds) the apartment comfortably slept 2 adults, however it could easily accommodate up to 4 adults if you don't mind sharing a room. 

We arranged our own transfer as part of an ski equipment hire package however the apartment does offer this service.

The apartment block itself was rather quiet - we didn't see many other  guests whilst there however for some (or a lot of ) apres-ski the local bars & restaurants were all within walking (or stumbling) distance. We tried a few establishments including The Log House, Amigos and Queens Pub...a different experience was  had in each and some more memorable than others (possibly related to the volume of apres-ski imbibed!)
