My family and I stayed (2 adults, two kids age 6&12) in the house for a few day while visiting Zheravna. First impression was how clean the house nd the garden were, well maintained and loved! The place felt very  secure and was extremely quiet. The views from the terrace were amazing.
The rooms we were allocated were not linked, each had a clean, basic bathroom. The shower is of the old fashioned ones, which means that the whole bathroom gets wet. Not a problem at all as the weather was lovely and hot!
The house has in house cook, who doubles as receptionist and general duty/enquiry point of contact. The food is delicious and average priced ( for Bulgaria - a family of 4 can rat&drink for anything between £15-£35)  WiFi was okay.
The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable. For two star place, it was great!
I could have appreciated mattress protectors (bed sheet were slightly small for the bed and every morning one of us would be laying on the mattress!), opening time for the tavern (“Mehana”) - do ask when they will be serving food before assume they will be open and also sign/instruction how to sign in when you arrive.
I’d recommend you consider parking on the top street, above the house, as the alternative is making a very steep turn on cobble street, which is not very easy. The parking of the house itself is limited (2-3cars) and were often taken.
If you are travelling with kids, make sure you have enough toys/games/books with you. The water is drinkable, there a number of other places you can eat at, though the menus are very similar.
The place is full of fantatsic places, you can visit the small museums and church against a small fee (3lv = £1.30)
Do ask about German/English tours so you can make the most of your visit.

Charming and great location!

Zhervana is a very beautiful historical place. But you need to stay somewhere. Yovina house is a perfect place to stay. The house is build like the old Bulgarian houses but is also modern and has all you need. Even a fridge with the drinks is there. The service was excellent. Staff is very friendly. Rooms were very clean. We stayed decided to have our dinner there and his was an excellent choice. The chef they have is may be a local lady and cooks traditional BULGARIAN food. It was delicious. Also the breakfast on the next day was traditional and delicious. We loved the house and the whole village. Very beautiful places to see around. 

Excellent place to stay in Zheravna

My partner, his parents and myself stayed at Yovina House for a few nights in early July. The rooms were nice, traditional Bulgarian style. The bathroom is an older style (though newer), being a wetroom with no separate shower basin (just an FYI for some travellers). This is relatively common in small villages.
We ate at the Yovina restaurant for lunch and dinner. I'm a vegan and was able to eat a few things from the menu - the sach is really quite nice! The women working here are very friendly, though I'm not sure how much English they speak, as my partner and family are Bulgarian.
You must walk / drive up a small hill to get to the guest house, though the views from our room were really nice (room 1). There are about 5 rooms, but they are expanding the guest house in the back to build a few more rooms.
Zheravna is a very small village, with a few mehanas (traditional Bulgarian restaurants), an art gallery and a couple little museums. The houses here are all in the old traditional style and are very old, some having been recently renovated.

We have just spent one night at Yovina and it is a lovely quaint guest house, the staff were fabulous and the food delicious. A great location, lovely tradition house, the rooms are spacious and very clean.

I like it very much! suggest you to visit if you are in Jeravna village. place is quite and nice. Near to center and have own restaurant with home made food and good cooker! rooms are clean and old style.

The place looked very nice, but e were kindly advised that it is not opened for outside guests, who are not sleeping in the hotel, during the week 
It works for them only in weekends. 
I think a traveler should know this.
